Infinite makes me truly appreciate the pinnacle of Halo multiplayer which is Halo 5

After six years of Halo 5 I was more than happy to play Infinite. Now, after six hours of Infinite, I am absolutely ecstatic to go back to Halo 5.

1.) The movement abilities in Halo 5 are what made it so incredibly fun. The sprinting speed, the ability to ground pound, switfly move left to right, back and forward, pause in the air and take aim, it was incredible. It made Halo so much fun and added enormous dynamic to the three second game loop.

Infinite strips all of that to Halo 1 level of movement. It is incredibly frustrating and feels like you have been handicapped. I am constantly getting shot and I try to dash (muscle memory) and boom nothing and I die. Oh…but you can dash if you find the dash equipment on the map which there is only one and it respawns once in the game. WTF.

2.) I think everyone has universally panned the battle pass leveling. Let’s just say the game that made me realize Infinite was not for me, was a game where I got three double kills, a triple kill, and a killing frenzy and got ZERO XP for my efforts.

“Sorry sir your ability to perform in the game no longer matters. Um, we need you to find a chopper, get five kills in it, and then we will give you 100 xp”. In the 52 games I have played now I have never even had the chance to sit in a -Yoink!- chopper. WTF!

3.) The amount of bullets it takes to kill someone is insane. High-powered weapons take the entire magazine to kill someone. I’m sure this will be fixed but it is very frustrating right now.

In conclusion, the game is beautiful. I really think it is gorgeous. The movement to me is the most important part of the game and it is absolute -Yoink!- here in Infinite.

I am level 150 in Halo 5 so I guess I might as well try and get 152. There is nothing else worth doing.

i’m glad you enjoyed halo 5 mate, i’ll
be on infinite however…:joy::+1:t3:

Hard disagree but Infinite’s sandbox does have some nagging problems with balancing that Halo 5 didn’t

No…………………………………………….

You’re on the from forum mate, this is where you belong: www dot codforums dot com

In all seriousness, H5 was a massive step up from H4. The movement dynamics are still there but balanced now which is an improvement.

Battlepass definitely to slow, no arguments there.

Regarding time to kill…yes, no it doesn’t take an entire mag. Aiming skill is just important again. TTK should be slow in Halo, has always been untill H4/5.
