Same, I got three thirds into her fight on legendary and just left, sh*t’s so bad in every way I can think of
I wouldn’t say it’s the best Halo game but it’s better than 4 and 5 their story were bad not the worst but still bad I mean especially in 4 who likes an enemy like the Didact that you can’t even fight back against without help from Cortana

Summary
RIP Halo. I have no confidence that this franchise can ever recover. If the next game isn’t open world and the multiplayer isn’t packed full of dumb cosmetics then they just created another mob of angry fans. Who will they try and please? All of us again? Little bit of something for everyone including plenty of dissapointment.
343 just cant stop experimenting with new ideas instead of sticking with what worked, what made the games popular to begin with… It’s like this video game company has a severe mental illness.
Saying the campaign is worse than 4 or especially 5’s is probably one of the worst Halo takes i’ve ever heard in my life.
Haha, but we did get a repeat boss battle with the Adjutant Resolution.
So check that box, I guess.
at least those battles were fun and had actual mechanics unlike the other bullet sponges
Eh. I just kited and peeked from cover, shot weak point, stuck eye, repeat. Not thrilling either.
I don’t know how any true halo fan can dislike infinite. I say if this is the worst halo you’ve played then halo is just dead for you forever. I don’t know what you people want from 343. I think they did an amazing job
Even if infinite is “incomplete” I still think what we have makes up for it. I’ve seen all the reasons why people don’t like infinite, to me it just sounds like

That’s fine, I just don’t see what others are seeing wrong with this game. I’m glad that I’m enjoying it. I hope halo fans that don’t like infinite can find another game, hobby or continue to enjoy MCC
I wish you all the best of luck
I am glad halo fans actually took the time as well to voice what they didn’t like about infinite on these forums. I think it shows if they didn’t care they wouldn’t speak out. We all want to like the next halo game. We want it to be the best of the halos. Even if I don’t agree with the pros and the cons feedback, I still think we should all take into consideration that everyone has different tastes and ideas.
These forums help the community and the game grow. So type away and don’t forget…
Keep it clean

You both say for people to keep it clean and call their reasons "
"
That’s not a recommended method to promote a dialogue.
Life is full of contradictions
That is the lesson to be learned here
You don’t have to be contradictory. I believe in you. (Not sarcasm)
Well I guess all I can say about my contradicting post is, do as I say not as I do
Are they really moving away from the Halo 5 plot or just skipping a chapter?
If they were then how would there be any narrative tension between the Chief and the Weapon? They make a massive deal about how the Chief failed and her fear of becoming like Cortana. “Will I do what she did? Become what she became? Am I that already?” Presumably that sets up them doing things right. If you were to go forward and just have the Weapon be your sarcastic AI sidekick she would kind of just be there. I don’t at all get the sense they’re moving away from there being drama between these two. There has to be some risk of her turning bad or the Chief failing again. That seems to be the setup.
If you assume Halo 5 was going towards the Chief killing Cortana and not “it was the Gravemind all along” then yeah it would be a big change. However, if she’s a good AI and suddenly does a 180 that poses a few questions. But, if they are doing the Precursors and Offensive Bias why wouldn’t the Logic Plague be a key story beat? You can’t do the Logic Plague without AI going crazy. Why wouldn’t a faction of AI that could be corrupted fit into that story? If humanity essentially destroys most of their AI apart from the Weapon then the Logic Plague would have no relevance as a plot point. The Flood story does involve AI and always has had that whole Mendicant Bias analogy going on.
We’ve only got one line of dialogue from Atriox implying the collapse of “your empire” and in that same sentence he claims he crushed the Chiefs skull; which is a lie. But Zeta Halo is entirely cut off from the wider universe per the multiplayer intro video. We really do not know the state of the universe. Once the Encyclopaedia comes out or they do a post mortem of the campaign we might get some answers to those questions. But it’s still a big if. For all we know, the Created just built an army of UNSC/Geth style robots to replace the Prometheans and make up for losing the Guardians.
There is a ton of Halo 5 and 4 references in this game. Even down to Foundation being almost a rerun of The Breaking. Right down to the Chief saying this might be a trap because last time he met Cortana she put him in a cryptum. Calling back to that humming she does and directly quoting certain lines. They could have just said “Harbinger blew up Domain, bad AI gone” and not acknowledged it at all. Which would have left very little to talk about because you get pretty much all the cutscenes you would have got in a Halo 5 sequel.
Also I don’t get the profound disdain for crazy AI playing God when that is a thing in Halo. It’s just usually Forerunner AI (who are actually worse BTW) doing it as opposed to human AI.
might be due to Halo 5’s handling of it as to why the disdain exists.
They also hated the Elites but 343 didn’t decide to cut them from the game. Looked at what people liked and made it work. Why should that not extend to here?
You don’t learn enough about the Created or Cortana to form much of an opinion. We get a lot of the Warden and not much else. They basically all jump on a chance for immortality. You could literally do anything you wanted with them as a faction.
They’re Rogue Servitors from Stellaris, but it’s incredibly suspect how they all went crazy. I don’t see why you could find the idea of a talking light bulb blowing up the galaxy a grounded plot but Cortana taking the galaxy over is outrageous.
Plus, I ve not seen that much negativity about the flashback scenes they did for post Halo 5 stuff. So if people were okay with it in Infinite and the idea of Cortana having a redemption arc; where exactly is the problem?
The “Open World” actually looks like Forge Island and to be honest, its a deadzone. No really different Landscapes, a handful of caves, thats it.
This Game feels like being put together from bits of other games with a Forge Editor in no time. And, I doubt 343 ever played their own Campaign on Legendary and thought “Hey, those Boss Fights are SUPERFUN! we should keep them!”
I’ve been saying this in a lot of places.
People are allowed to have their grievances with Halo 4 and Halo 5’s narratives, but to outright ignore the stakes, characterization, and world-building that they’ve set is worse than any of the franchise’s poor writing decisions. Infinite should have set out to recover Halo 5’s narrative, and capitalize on Halo 4’s, but this is what Halo “fans” wanted.
I would stop whining if I were you. As Infinite campaign is 10x better than halo 5. As Halo 5 story was all over the place, and yes it does suck that we can’t replay the missions in the same playthrough though that doesn’t stop us on replaying the story at a higher difficulty. I’m on my third playthrough of the story and I’m enjoying it. And the reformation is actually reconstructing the ring if I am corrected.
The main story is on one biome and I can imagine we will get free updates to have more biomes to go to over time. Also this ain’t really a copy of Far cry though it has some elements of it, though mostly the copy of Halo CE open areas and Combo Of Halo ODST to where in ODST campaign you had to progress the main story to unlock the areas. Also COOP someone was able to glitch it for splitscreen and it was buggy as heck. And Forge is a multiplayer which if you don’t remember CollectedLeaf that all multiplayer side is straight Free to play and forge is part of multiplayer side. And the Spirit of fire is still at the ark as atriox escape the ark, which I ask that question and someone actually told me it explained in one of the Halo Books. If you want lore go read the Halo Books.
Honestly I love the story of the campaign and I feel like it one of the campaigns I played even for 343 which you might as well gave thanks to Joseph Staten himself as he was the one that delay infinite for a Whole year after the demo reveal in 2020 E3. And to even to answer your question more bout no coop and forge is cause Joe felt they were not finished and want to leave them in the oven a little longer, and that where Us (Halo Insiders) would be able to test these stuff before it public. As that the whole point of live service game and you have people that willing to help test the game.
Also if you are gonna say thats so BS of no coop n forge listen for it yourself of joseph words himself:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sC9FZu7CDqs (343 explains delay of Forge & Co-Op Campaign for Halo Infinite)
And the part you stated “343i clearly DO NOT CARE” You are clearly wrong and you are under a tree. 343 Really wants feedbacks and so far they have listen, Right now they ain’t gonna be do anything right now for support and looking at the feedbacks cause they are on Holiday break now. So when they come back from holiday break the first thing they are gonna do is dive into every feedback and fixing issues like the big issue that Snuck in on BTB which us Halo Insiders didn’t encounter this in flights nor did we encounter in the beta, as it must of been something from 343 recent game update. Otherwises don’t start saying 343 don’t care cause some of the workers are ex bungie employees that wanted to stay and work on halo. And I’m glad joe is back as if you don’t know but Joe staten has help developed every halo in the bungie days.
It resumes after halo 5, believe it or not the ring in the intro zeta halo that actually the same ring and planet from halo 5 legendary ending. Don’t believe that look

Why don’t you ask them themselve on that cause I can see every dev has play the campaigns on legendary and sketch is actually gonna do LASO legit no scorpion cannon glitch.
