infinite is Still ridiculous and so is 343

343 response and the way they respond
343 really dosent know how to respond to the community lol they really just “hey we’re fixing graphics love us” to “we know you guys hate free to play which in turn will ruin customization but oh well we love it and we’re gonna stick with the new shader mechanic because it will need to generate some sort of financial system when infinite is free to play”… like I said I don’t care, I get it they need to generate revenue but they’re just gonna stick us with some boring and disgusting skins and then make us pay for some that look cool or even better then the base ones we unlock and that makes me mad.

HALO 5 SUCCESSES
it was even funnier that someone said “halo 5 with it successes was not good for the halo community” (or something along those lines) what successes? The terrible campaign? The horrendous multiplayer where you had to pay to unlock customization and anything to make the game enjoyable? Overall halo 5 was horrible the only thing they did good was forge.

Release
This is hard for me since I want to play halo infinite really bad (well not really play but feigning for some better halo content overall) since halo 5 and even MCC aren’t cutting it for me but it’s understandable… I still just feel like the game will not be polished, pretty much it’ll be a dumpster fire still. (Just how I feel)

overall I hate 343 ideas as a whole, I used to like them and defend their ways but it’s just hard to now and I can see why most of the community do not like them, oh well.

-40$ game
-Also wait until fall next year to receive 152 reward lol
-They also contradicted themselves when saying “we care and we listen”
-and we’re losing customization so they can GAIN from it with money

I love how the Spartans look now, I have to be honest, I never liked Halo 4 or Halo 5, never. But the Spartans now look awesome.

Responding:
At least, they showed us now something, which I really like. But as you said, the information is not that huge, it feels like a woman that told you that she will go out with you on a date but she always excuses herself but sending you a photo of what she might look like if you would have went out.

Halo 5 successes:
lol who said that? and furtermore - which successes? That they milked so much money out from so less player or better I say that less playerbase?

For me - cause the MP is free to play - the game is worth 40~50€ but way not more.

The care and listen part - well I think they do listen but the less informations made everyone upset. And to be honest, clearing things up would be easy.

For the customization: Hell I hope we will not loose it.

NB said “I have always been very attached to visual continuity, especially for such a large franchise. I felt that Halo 5, despite many successes, didn’t take player feedback enough into account, and many felt the game’s visuals were deviating off course.” not sure if he was talking about the visual successes halo 5 had or halo 5 in general.

I can’t say I agree. You’ve got to think about the bigger picture here, Free-To-Play multiplayer will be good for the Halo franchise. With FTP and in-game purchases on things like skins, there is constant revenue there fo 343 to keep the development wheels turning.

If it was a once off, buy the game and that’s it we would have to wait years at a time for DLC content. FTP and Seasons is the way to go because we’ll be getting fresh content constantly AND a good player base throughout the lifetime of the game.

Ugh, reading your hate really brings me down. Don’t agree though. Thank god for Cyberpunk in the meantime

The only thing ridiculous is your unreflected rant. Neither productive nor helpful.
If you have such a hate and bias against 343i in general and H:I in particular,
I’d say that reddit or youtube-comments are more likely the place to be for you.

We will see when it releases, I just hate seeing halo being stripped from something that made it great and the company mentality of it and what not.

343 is ridiculous for removing the thruster pack and the halo 5 art style. Halo 5 was a huge success and a much better game than it’s snail paced ancestors

That’s the problem right there. That’s the only thing 343 cares from your post. They know you’ll play no matter what.

Imagine how bad of a game they planned on releasing if they now need almost an entire year to fix it.

Just think about that.

They figured that because people want a new halo “really bad” that they could come out with a sub par product and get away with it because you still WANT the game.

The problem they ran into is that a MAJORITY of people saw that e3 presentation and were repulsed. Most people on the fence loudly voiced they’re not getting it because they don’t want it “really bad.” So they knew they couldn’t get away with it this time and have to fix it.

Played halo since the original launched. Loved the series. This is first halo that I don’t want “really bad,” especially if it’s crap because I got better things to do than play a game the devs half–Yoinked!-.

“Because Halo Infinite in the Fall of 2021… is just the beginning of the adventure.”
I like to think that the Halo Infinite idea is so ambitious that they won’t be able to deliver their vision 100% when this game is launching (which would’ve been the 10th last month lol) but imho it’s clear that this whole live service bs is just an excuse to focus on things that doesn’t put the player first or delivers a finished product that can be expanded with feedback.

The complete 180 people are having after what was mostly a corporate speak memo saying they will fix graphics is baffling.

same with the defense of F2P and micro transactions. They are indefensible. 343 is not mandated to go F2P.the idea they were obligated to have micro transactions due to F2P is ridiculous. the restrictions of monetization are completely self imposed by them. 343 was the one who moved their own goalposts and decided premium micro transactions are the best way to extract the most amount of money out of what’s left of this fanbase.

also there’s not one live service game that provides content at the same quality as paid dlc or a better experience in general. Not one. Especially when 343 already did a bad live service job with halo 5. They almost all drip feed shoddy undercooked content and then expect thankyous from their fanbase for it being “free”. Nearly every franchise that has transferred to a service model is delivering an inferior product compared their predecessors. But of course it won’t change because gamers end up spending more money than ever before on a worse product.

Gamers are honestly some of the biggest suckers among all consumer segments.

All because halo 5 now I’m itchin for something new even if I know it’s going to be trash sad

I’m what aspect was 5 a success? One of the least sales of all the Halos? Dramatic player drop-off? Or, or was it the microtransactions and gutted armor customization?

Halo 5 through and through was a failure. It didn’t even have all the basic modes Halo has at launch until 8 months after release. It’s gameplay was the most different from all the Halos so it didn’t even play like Halo nor looked like it.

Each to there own. I actually thought that there update was well done, covered alot of topics that people wanted to know about, even showing screenshots. Saying what was needed to do going 4wrd ext. Im not sure what else you expect tbh.
As for halo 5, it was successful it still has a large playerbase, the mp tbh is good, and love it or hate it but lootboxes mad them a tone of money. doesn’t matter if u dont like the game, its about how much money they made. You say you need lootboxes for mp, erm no you really dont. that was just one game mode. Anything competitive was isolated from needing any loot boxes.

we are not losing customization at all, infact we are gaining more, but we have less to start with, more over time.
you want the game bad? think the game i dumbster fire, yet still complain about a year extra dev time? i dunno man seems like ur opinions are contradictive not there’s.

Free to play is the norm for multiplayer these days. They’d be shooting themselves in the foot without it. Users give companies influence → influence entices investors/partnerships → Halo grows. Imagine if the game was $70 and MP was not F2P…the same tired group of Halo fans (including the ones who find fault with every move 343i makes) would buy it while a significant potential playerbase is shut out. Nothing changes with the release and the Halo population continues its downward trend. Halo desperately needs an injection of new players and t****his segment of the population DGAF about color customization or microtransactions.

As for your Halo 5 assessment…I simply don’t know where you got your information. I have nearly everything unlocked in the game and didn’t pay a cent for packs.

This is the only thing that sticks out to me. We are losing a main PART of customization. At least, we’re all assuming we are. We have not been explicitly told how we will be able to use the Coating system. Will we be able to select a coating and change the colour scheme? Or is it Choose This Red Configuration. Don’t like it? Buy this other Red Configuration. If we were given access to the 7-layer Coating System to utilize all of the individual elements available, I’d agree that we’re getting much more Customization.

But if you’re referring to the Armour parts, yes. That is seemingly leagues above even Reach. That I’m pumped for.

I just think that players should have access to all 7 layers of the Coating System and if you want certain elements that are sponsored, you’ll need to buy those. I guess we’ll see once they actually show it to us in-action next year.

There is no call for disrespecting your ancestors son. I mean you wouldn’t be here if not for them.

i guess 343 could let you customize the colour, material etc of each armor piece yourself. i think most players wont care though. players will also like that these coatings are collectible designs that you earn or buy. personally, i’m lazy and like the pre designed stuff i can slap on my spartan quickly.

also the problem with too much design freedom is that players will design silly coatings which will take you out of the immersion of the game.
i do think 343 should bring back the simple primary, secondary colours for the whole suit only for people who buy the full game.

could easy fix players with silly paint jobs by just having an option to view or not view other peoples skins in game.
