Infinite is hurting because there isn't a game coming out in the next 1-2 years

Halo 4 came out in 2012, MCC came out in 2014, and Halo 5 came out in 2015. So MCC was basically a waiting point for the next halo. Infinite is supposed to be a 10 year game so we can’t expect the next halo till 2032. This is not good cause our only options for a great halo experience are 7-8 years old.

Also unfortunately there really isn’t a game they can remaster or remake to hold us over. All the titles are in MCC. Maybe Halo Wars but that isn’t an FPS so really don’t know what they could throw us in the meantime as they try and fix infinite.

If we look hard it was 343 was like heres Halo 4, now heres MCC for some nostalgia (oh no its broken), but wait here is halo 5 (play this while we fix MCC). Infinite unfortunately doesn’t have this place holder for it or a new game planned to come out anytime soon.

I hope they time between campaign dlc’s and new mp maps is short rather than long if they want to keep players interested.

I’m worried that won’t be so though as the launch has been pretty bad. delays, not many patches and no concrete roadmap yet.

it’s like the mcc launch all over again.

They should fully release Halo 5 on PC. Make it cross play and free to play. The game would explode over night because of the custom games browser and forge being finally connected to a working multiplayer. Its the most feature complete game that could hold us over for a long time

Already bought Dying Light 2 and Elden Ring, waiting for that juicy download button to become available-
Hope an event doesn’t start mid february in infinite, it’s gonna be a busy month.

Infinite is hurting because 343 has been destroying Halo for a full decade now.

This. Infinite is hurting because the top management at 343 who have made all the decisions for 10 years are incompetent greedy clowns.

Even the “Halo Infinite is a 10 year live service game” reeks of greed and incompetence. I’m not aware of any success story on that plan. Maybe I’m missing one, but every time I’ve heard a developer say of their game before it even released that it’s a 10 year game, the game is dead and abandoned within two years. Anthem comes to mind, for example. I don’t think Infinite is as big a disaster as Anthem, but 343’s management of the game is definitely as bad as Bioware’s was.

Generally I share this sentinment, but I’m starting to think if Destiny actually is somewhat succeeding at this. Yes Destiny 2 came by and replaced it quickly, but despite controversy Destiny 2 is still trucking along pretty well in 2022, 5 years after it came out.

This is all from someone who’s never actually played Destiny or Destiny 2, but it seems beyond the hiccup of producing destiny 2, its been going steady.

So far, any game to copy Destiny and it’s 10 year promise has yet to deliver. Destiny 2 came out three years later, Anthem is officially abandoned, and Halo Infinite is bleeding players like crazy.

*4 years after release. It’s not Fall 2022 yet

MCC has Halo 5 beat in feature density, but yeah it’d be a massive boon to the longevity of the game.

This is false. No forge has the features Halo 5 forge has.

It has more weapons. More options for the weapons due to the glitch.

Has better forging options. And custom games options.

And all the classic maps have already been created.

And you can turn off all the abilities as well as tune them differently.

You can quite literally play all of Halo inside Halo 5 forge. So no. There is no forge in MCC that tops Halo 5. If people hoped on and experienced it for themselves they would see that everything that everyone is asking for is already in halo 5 and polished to boot

Halo 5 forge is fugly and almost always looks worse than even Halo 1 and 2.

And the best you can do with its gameplay is make it play like a bad clunky version of classic Halo.

So yeah… Halo 5 has by far the most options and features, but the problem is that it’s Halo 5.

Flase. It birthed some of the most detailed beautiful maps. It just takes a very long time and a lot of forge skill to do it. Not many people know how to comeplete a map. They may know to build one but completing it takes a lot more effort.

Also flase. You can change the values of everything to make it play exactly like classic. Your only argument would be the aiming which yes. The aiming was tuned for Halo 5s movement.(Halo infinite is no different.) Aside from that jumping and crouching feel the same as classic Halo if not better.

Most of the time comments like these come about because they don’t like the game in the first place which is a shame because once you actually got the maps together and settings it played great. I remember the Halo 3 playlist in halo 5. It played just fine and was really fun too.

No, you can’t. You can mess with mechanics, move speed, gravity, and weapon balancing to try and mimic the classic games, but that’s it. You cannot, for example, recreate Halo 3’s projectile modeling for its weapons.

If you think you can make Halo 5 play “exactly like classic”, you do not have a very deep knowledge of how classic Halo plays.

You literally just said what I said.

I said you can change the values but your only argument is the aiming. Meaning the projectiles. The way it feels while aiming. All of that. Everything else can be replicated.

What even funnier is that infinite will never play like classic either because of the aiming/projectiles etc. We don’t even have classic weapons to work with either aside from the BR. So I don’t really see this as an argument against forge when recreating the way the shooting felt in classic halos will never haopen

I don’t think it makes any sense to describe a game’s ballistics modeling as “aiming”, but OK.

I don’t see what this is relevant to. But for what it’s worth, Infinite is already a better game than 5 was, and Infinite is a bit of a mismanaged hot mess right now. 5 wasn’t bad, and I played it plenty, but it wasn’t really Halo. Strayed much too far from the original gameplay.

Flase.

Also flase.

I uninstalled Infinite about 2 weeks ago. But, I promise, no matter how bad Infinite is, I will never redownload and play 5.

Sure I guess I was too vauge.

This is relevant because ur trashing on Halo 5s forge for not having settings to change the way the guns work. Halo infinite won’t have these settings either so I guess you’ll be stuck on MCC.

And please tell me how it’s better than Halo 5. Maybe you prefer the gameplay but to say it’s better is a stretch. Aside from gameplay what’s better? Every area the game lacks. In modes. In features and it doesn’t even work a lot of the time. See. Halo 5 worked day 1 unlike infinite. I struggle to see how infinite is better and when everything gets fixed and features added I still don’t see how it’s better because it’s missing core features that only Halo 5 had. Like warzone and specific custom game options.

This sounds a lot like some other person on the forums a few weeks ago that had some sort of hard on for Halo 5…I forget his name, but he was ridiculous.
