After the rank reset this game really started dying….also why am I getting slayer 100% of the time in the ranked que now….this is so stupid.

this seems like the formulaic production of games has claimed another victim with halo Infitnite.
it’s become more money focused and less just general care and attention put into the game, they make out ‘they were trying something new’ with the campaign being all sandbox and stuff but really it’s just dambed laziness, because of all the time and effort that would have to be put into testing and managing sculpted levels.
personally my biggest gripe is the cheating, so many aim bots still being used, and no easy and quick way of defining and identifying what is exactly being used and by who. all you need to do to easily and effectively combat this is; add an in game, during match cheating report thing, along with kill cams, so you can see for yourself that they are being used at the time. But i’m guessing the the influx of reports will be massive, too much for them to even staff to handle.
The game is just dying, a hell load of laziness, just for a quick buck and then onto the next game that gets hyped up.

As much as i like the core gameplay, this game deserves to die the way 343 is treating it. Almost no new content except for cosmetics and a handful of playlists since November. Its almost April right now.
343 is an absolute embarassment. Theyve got to be one of the most incompetent developers in the industry right now. The treatment this “live service” game has gotten is an absolute joke. There were more regular content drops in halo back when it WASNT a live service game.
If Microsoft was smart they would give Halo to a new developer and relegate 343 to developing mobile games because clearly that is all they can handle at this point. Theres no excuse for the neglect that this game has seen at this point.

Yeah ranked is unbelievably unbalanced, many of the 1700 onyx players from the first ranking have move to games like destiny and mine craft. You know games that take real skill. Every game a random team mate quits or crashes I lose just 10 points off my onyx and have to play 5 games to get it back this games honestly the worst halo released

There is no one to blame but the brass at 343.
The way they set up 343 as a company with only 18 month contractors rotating in and out was a setup for failure.
To spend half a billion dollars on a game with as many under the hood technical issues is absolutely unacceptable. The brass should be held accountable.
Halo 4 didn’t kill the franchise, Halo 5 didn’t kill the franchise but Infinite multiplayer sure has. Unless 343 and Microsoft come out with a soft-relaunch this fall with a big season 3 the franchise will legitimately be in jeopardy.

Please leave Tactical Slayer (SWAT) the way it was meant to be with DMR, or BR only (if you want the pistol, keep it a side arm). What are you doing putting the Mangler in there? Optional, and rotational game modes can be fun, but keep the core things proper! With the new content age… even new content in free games I guess… the maps seem to be lacking

Good, 343 needs to fail. They are not here for you, they are only here for business. 343 builded this game engine poorly with bad management only hiring people to work on infinite for periods at a time and releasing them or firing them.
343 is not a real gaming company, they are creative, media directors and corporate executives.
The only way for us [the people and fans of Halo] to win is to let Halo Infinite die. to really stick it to the man.

I uninstalled Halo Infinite from my Xbox two weeks ago.
I had hoped that their Support messages might offer a glint of hope, but all they are is noise with the same wording in each one. “We put out a new update, it doesn’t fix any of your issues but if you don’t respond to us within 30 days we will assume that it magically did and close the support ticket for your unsolved issue”. This is insane as a support message goes.

and see no where where they give a rats butt about how terrible their matchmaking is because we can’t select the server we are playing on, as we could in MCC and Halo 5.
My problem is still not addressed. I am in Alberta Canada and the closest server (according to MCC when i pick my Server) is Seattle. When I’m on Seattle, my ping times are usually 25 ms, however that’s 1 in 5 matches. The other 4+ matches that are 250 ms ping times, and based on what MCC Servers are available and the fact that the Gamer tags are usually German or Cyrillic, 343 thinks Alberta Canada is closer to Amsterdam than Seattle . A First Person Shooter with 250 ms of lag is a joke. Even some RTS games are more responsive than this.
If they ignore crippling issues like this, the game will definitely die.

In my honest opinion, I kind of lost the motivation to play the game it’s self. They had to taken away our effort, and time spent already on ranked by resting the ranks in-game. The game modes in ranked also need you to rely on your team mate’s ability. This brings you down a lot depending if they are more aware of the game or not. Ranked was also repetitive with the same set of maps. I understand that they can’t make another map so fast. As an suggestion they should’ve remastered already existing ones. They also can hold polls on either which situation should be addressed first.
I also disapprove of 343i inability to do something which doesn’t take much tweaks to fix. I believe nerfs, and buffs shouldn’t taken above 2 days unless it comes with more than one thing along with the update.
My main point is…
343i should’ve delayed the rank reset to another time, most likely during the end of season. This would allow there to be more people during Season 2 with newer things i.e. guns, maps, etc. This all will allow people to adjust to the brand new systems, items, and maps.

A casual rank progression would be nice, like in reach (recruit - inheritor). This gives the player something to look at every time the match ends, instead of just returning back to the lobby.

This is probably why there is so little content and updates, they dont even have employees, maybe some core developers are still there, but many of the people working on the game has moved on, like the lead designer.
Everything that could go wrong with this games has done so.
When you think about it its not that strange either, they had their budget and probably used all the money on servers, staff and hardware and development.
So if they dont make any money on Battlepass the game is doomed, unless MS adds more money.
Making the game Free to play may have been the bigges mistake, many people would have bought the game bringing in alot of money to 343 and MS. Alot more than sellings a Battlepass for $10 per season.
I think MS needs to speak out soon about this game, otherwise I feel they can just stop making Xboxes. this game has ruined so much of the feel for Xbox, Halo and MS as a gaming company.

Have a ranked slayer, swat, FFA. (There is just nothing to play for if you leave them unranked)

More maps now. Use old maps. Don’t care. Just make it happen.

The weekly challenges are just lazy and disrespectful. If you are going to use an emblem let it be for all the name plate, armour, vehicle, and weapons. Don’t put the same emblem up every 2 weeks. They killed the game when they did that. I initially only played to do challenges. But every week it was something really terrible or just the same thing.

Don’t muck around with swat. Keep it to BR only. If you want to add the other guns for the events do it but otherwise leave it to BRs only.

Fix the side kick gun and sniper. (The two best guns in halo history and they had a big discussion amongst themselves and decided they would ruin them completely. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it) I would say 90% of original halo players won’t play this game because of what they did to these guns.

this exactly mate. I love my initial +300 +200 +100 xp matches but I’m becoming conditioned when I hit that awful +50 every match I go to unranked playlists and barely pay attention to the game or performance to win just to grind xp when I’m in the mood. there’s no surprise of thinking “Oh I got (rare medal like 360, running riot, OBJ medals etc) I wonder how much xp I’ll get” or anything of the sort. It literally doesn’t matter if I shoot the gun at all I still get my miniscule 50xp just for having a pulse. Additionally, during the grind I eventually just get frustrated and run to a different game for my dopamine hits of xp that would keep me in Halo if there was more variety described above.

Players have tried to post issues and problems for long enough with too little to no result.
The game was just a cash grab.

I’ve just binned the game off completely now. I return to the forums and hope things have changed but it’s still a game designed to get the player to constantly purchase over priced items with very minimal updates to keep me interested.
It was predicted since launch. And the worse part is 343I know it, but they’ll keeping thinking what their doing is the right way if players fall for the trap.

decided to hop on Halo after only playing since launch to see how the updates have been coming along… why is it still so hard to find out how to leave a friends party or “fireteam party”…??

Custom games is not the same as playing ranked or slayer with friends. The missing game modes and good maps is what killed the game.
