Infinite is dead

Okay, let us try to unpack this box of member berries and copium shall we because I have looked at your past posts and even your service record, and not only do you keep saying the same thing over and over adding nothing to the conversation but based on your service record you hardly played OG halo, I mean 44 games of H3?

Free to Play- You claim this is part of H:I’s downfall but nothing supports that it subtracts from the player base. If anything it adds to it as it makes the game available to more people. Cheaters you might replay back with saying that they ruin the game for others and so people leave. I have no doubt that cheaters exist but I’m going, to be honest with you B I looked at your last 50 Loses and all the players within them. Nothing screams cheater to me, just a lot of average players like you would typically see at platinum.
Micro-transactions- I agree, I think most do especially at the price point that they are at now. I think they breed bad habits where a company will hold back and sell you all the best stuff while giving away less desirable stuff for free cashing in on FOMO.
Stupid cosmetics- I don’t know if you are referring to the sets themself or things like cat ears so let’s start with the cat ears, I agree doesn’t really fit the halo uni but neither does having a flaming helm or a katana strapped to your back. The sets now listen Linda I’m all for some original sets but limiting 343i’s creativity to the original 23 or so sets of armor is ridiculous, boring, and stale. Not to mention the fact that most if not all the OG sets have been added to H4, H5, and some to H:I at some point in some variation. If you’re referring to the Hikeshi armor set ill say member a set in H3 called HAYABUSA.
releasing the game, not 100% complete- I agree the campaign should have had co-op from the start but let’s be honest it’s not a shock 343i didn’t want to put it in and really has no barring on people leaving the MP. As for the MP I disagree this is a beta as stated beforehand and everyone knew what they were getting into when they downloaded the MP for free. If your one of those people that say well I paid for the story so the MP should be part of that. Well, it’s not you knew what it was all about before you made your purchase and you did it anyway. I wouldn’t be shocked if all new Halos were released without a new MP and this was the standard for your MP needs.
Bugs and glitches- Completly agree the D-sync is awful right now and there is no excuse.

Its a beta live service which means it will be continually worked on and add to for years with new maps, modes, guns, cosmetics, etc. Saying this is like asking them to go back to the time when what shipped on the disk is it, nothing more you have this game for 6 years until new content. Do I agree it could be more fleshed out with content absolutely.

Answered above little to no impact on the game and absolutely 0 impact to you.

The first part answered above get over it they aren’t even good-looking sets nobody is buying them. The second part I would love this I think everyone would the system was very well liked I could see a problem with adding new content to it on the back end though but IDK why your dying for a system of a game you barely participated in reaching only the 4th rank out of 50 cant imagine you had much experience with it.

Answered above

So you want to take an already convoluted problematic system and add multiple layers of complexity onto it. First, nobody is taking for our social playlists to be turned into ranked. Swat? Really? Second doing this will only make it so people have to dump even more time into the game to gain rank. This turns the current system of how well a player performs into how much a player puts in time making it worthless to have any kind of rank its essentially H5 XP rank system. Honestly sounds like envy for people that are better than you and your asking for a participation ribbon.

Agree more content is always better and would be welcomed but ill remind you we have 12 and OG H3 had 10 on release and Reach had 15 altogether.

Answered above and remind you H3 had Hayabusa.

Agree we should be able to customize any piece with any set. The reason they dont do this is to sell us on the next BP or the next store item.

Honestly you want to talk about unbalanced how about the elite player model being able to look straight down and hide his head hit box completely.* previously states where’nt in the game my bad was honestly board responding to this post by this point and was rushing.

Dual wield what there are 5 guns in the game you could do this with and besides the mangler and the needler, there would be no point. Plus I’m sorry it was fun but unbalanced mechanic. Super combine in half the time. Noob shot someone point blank without having to switch weapons. etc.

Agree should be an option I guess but why would you as a controller player you have a distinct advantage over KBM players.

Again answered above dude you don’t have cheaters in your games I looked stop blaming the game.

I’m assuming you mean the colors of the teams during matches. You literally have bright glowing outlines around players now it’s never been easier. Now if your saying its to easy then okay sure lets get a return of R&B even though it further limits our customization.

Agree would be great to paint my spartan the way I want but IDK why you want this since you’ll never see it outside of FFA in your Red vs Blue colored world.

Honestly, who cares really it wasn’t that great to begin with I mean it’s, not like it’s Black ops 1’s system. For those who know you know

Dude its not even a thing yet relax its many many years away.

All Halo’s have had a map intro so IDK what your talking about would you rather look at a loading screen or a map intro when everything is loading in.

I really don’t understand you, you want customization or not? Let’s just go back to H2 when every player was a clone of another player.

You put this in here twice and contradicted yourself about wanting this system in almost all your other points.

Plenty of games have made comebacks. No Mans Sky, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Battlefield 4 and even Halo MCC. The game is not dead.

Wasn’t Co-op supposed to first be in on launch, then 3 months after release? We’re way past that timeline now with having had the first Flight just recently. Not only that but the team looking into Desynch, a major issue with Multiplayer, was moved to the Co-op part.

Forge? Going to be interesting to see when that’s hitting the Game.

There’s a rumoured massive story expansion for Infinite, believed to release 2025.

Sure, Infinite could come back, but it’s not looking bright as it currently has little going for it. What little it actually has is being diminished with issues which has been in since launch. Some have been addressed, like challenges and playlists, but they have a long way to go, a really long way.

I pretty much only play if there is a weekly ultimate reward that I like. The black visor for Mark V is awesome and I am happy that I have it now.
I also had a lot of fun that week because I think I finally found some nice controller settings.

Won’t play this week and I will check back in next Tuesday. Until then, grinding Halo 5.

MCC is deader! Tried getting a game last night in ranked not one single game on EU servers after 3 hours of trying.

Halo is dead.

You can’t really go by steam numbers as most Halo players are on Xbox. Also if infinite is dead to you MCC is even deader if that is a thing. I have left infinite for MCC as MCC is the better game but I can say without a doubt infinite has the bigger population.

East coast is second largest (if not largest, I think it can vary with West coast) server region in the world for Xbox live, so I should have among the best shots. My ping is 20-50ms which is pretty normal for the region. So, we can go back and forth about what “dead” means, but I call something “dead” when I can’t get games. And again, can’t get a ranked game in the middle of the day.

Also, just a few notes for your ranked awareness:

  1. Matchmaking doesn’t use CSR
  2. Onyx 1350 does not exist, Onyx begins at 1500
  3. Neither 1400 nor 800 are realistic MMRs for Onyx, which we would expect to be around 1500
  4. Onyx is bottom heavy anyway since the playerbase follows a normal-ish distribution and the Onyx is a tail. Most Onyx are 1500-1600, and are available to match against my diamond/onyx fireteam.

Return of the living dead part 3

Unfortunately, the game is definitely more on the “dead” side of things.

I find it hilarious (used to find it frustrating) that so much of the content that should have come with the game on day 1, is part of live service/season updates and microtransactions.

I don’t find joy in bashing devs but 343 has clearly used the live service model to cover up their inept -Yoink!-; while trying to make a cheap buck in the process.

I still find competitive matches within moments with a duo or my full squad. I compete in various leagues to keep me active. Yes, desync is super frustrating, but there is positives still with the game. The game was released as a Free to Play (f2p). It’s just what it is.

MCC is a great well oiled machine of old school Halo that brings back that nostalgia every time. When you’re ready to play something else, go play something else. Halo Infinite will still be here.

If there were a 6,000 players and the servers are good, why exactly would it take long to find a match?

6,000 is piss poor, and basing the dead-ness of a game based on matchmaking times is foolish.

Cool, these leaks are worthless, though. Did you forget all the leaks for Halo Infinite and how little of it ever became true, before release?

Or how higher ups at Xbox consistently claimed that the game was “on track” for a healthy release back before E3 of 2020? These leaks are worthless and it amazes me how there are so many fools who keep eating them up.

Most people don’t play ranked. Definitely not on a collection of games that are all over a decade old. Use some common sense, dude.

It’s a rarity to have common sense on this forum, I guess.

It’s kind of funny how some say they they find matches instantly. Um, when there is barely any maps, only the campaign with no other activities for the PvE side of the game, that’s a given.

true ( 20 characters )

I feel that Xbox is dead also, all my friends playing on PS5 now.

Xbox has nothing to come up with if you played the last generation of games, there are no good new games out.

Where as PS5 already has about 5-10 really good games like Horizon Forbidden West, Spiderman, Ratchet, Returnal and more. If you just look at the top 10 PS5 games there are some unique games on that system.

Xbox was all about Halo for me so I dont know what to do, sell the Xbox and maybe get a PS5.

Ah but it wasn’t hard to get a game on the US server… so people do play ranked.

I was living in hope some body might say more people play on the weekend or yeah I was always get a game on Sundays on the EU servers.

I think it’s common sense to ask rather than not communicate and discuss, before giving up.

I was thinking this… or build a PC and go live in the meta verse.

It took MCC 4 years to make a comeback.

I’m sure Infinite will get there one day.

Actually, Elites are in the game.
As normal foot soldiers, as well as atleast two ingame bosses.
One being the torturer in the Tower, second boss if I’m not mistaken, and second last boss, the Spartan hunter in BS Active Cloaking.

Furthermore, what one game had doesn’t carry over to another unless they deliberately make it so.
BXR didn’t carry over from Halo 2 to Halo 3, neither did Superjumps.
So why would they intentionally make Elites in MP behave exactly like their Halo 3 counter part with glitches and balance issues?
