For Halo: Infinite, I propose that Grifball have the Friendly Fire turned off so that teammates don’t accidentally kill each other. I also propose that every player holding the ball also have their armor be completely on fire, so that every player who comes near them receives a small amount of damage. It would be cool, man!
Having friendly fire off is mandatory in my mind. I don’t (didn’t, at this point basically) play Grifball in Guardians since I’d get booted every time no matter how cautiously I played.

It wouldn’t be too bad but because of the hammer re-work it makes it super easy to team kill, especially when people run in head first at every fight.

You already turn yellow with the ball, and have increased shields, I feel like damaging flames would be crazy op!

Well, what about just having the armor on fire because it looks cool?

Yeah there’s no denying it would look awesome! It would be good to see Juggernaut come back and have the fiery helmet too
I want it at launch and I would like it to be permanent!
As far as burning, that seems a little excessive considering there are only Shields for the ball carrier. Now as far as betrayals, in high level play of grifball, sometimes betraying a teammate can be a very intelligent decision. If you’re all on their side about to score and someone kills the ball runner and jumps over your whole team headed towards your goal - if the other team is smart they will intentionally not kill because then they can respawn and potentially kill the ball runner. That’s is why sometimes betraying your teammate that is best at defense might be a good idea so he can respond and possibly save the match.
