Infinite grenades setting (Customs)

So in halo CE we had the ability to set mutliplayer so that everyone spawned with an infinite ammount of grenades. Much to my annoyance, this was excluded from Halo 2s custom settings. It was later revived in halo 3, though slightly changed so that you didn’t have infinite grenades, but respawning grenades (with about 2 second recharge/spawn time)

This option was once again excluded from reach, yet again, to my annoyance. I like playing dodge ball, and or practicing my stickie throws.

Its just a nice little option to have in custom games when you’re derping around, and, or trying to practice nade throws.

Anyway, who’d like to see this option return? And if it does return, which form of its return would you prefer? CE’s or 3’s?

They should just include both option. The more customization choices for Custom games the better.

I never understood why they took it out to begin with. Sure starting with 4x of each grenade is nice, but if we can have bottomless clip and unlimited armor abilities, why not unlimited grenades? :expressionless:

I came up with a game type called Sticky Warz (though I’m sure I’m not the only one who had the idea). The concept is like Dodge Ball, but on an entire-map scale. I would set up the game type to where only sticky medals would produce score points. It was successful in Halo 3. Since Halo: Reach no longer had regenerating/unlimited grenades, I had to build an entire map specifically for Sticky Warz. You had to find grenades scattered across the map, which did make the game a little more interesting (forcing map exploration) but at the same time got annoying when you were helplessly out of grenades.

I agree that both unlimited and regenerating grenades should become available. And better yet, perhaps there should be options as to which specific type(s) of grenades are unlimited/regenerating (sticky=regenerating frag=non-regenerating, vice-versa, etc). I would even go one step further to say in addition to unlimited ammo options, maybe there should be a regenerating ammo option as well, for when unlimited is overkill (for example: an intense sniper match where the dominate player is killing others too swiftly; make him wait a little while before he gets a spare clip or two). So I also agree that it’s always better to have more options.

This would be an amazing idea to bring back. I think that’s why I got so good at sticking is because I would stay on one side of Hang 'Em High and just chuck plasmas at my friend.

Please bring back unlimited grenades. I’m sitting here on the Infinity trying to find the settings for grenades but instead found this thread. +1
