I’m not sure if this has always been a thing or not, but in the Halo Infinite flight a flag hit in capture the flag is not a 1 hit kill. Should 343 change this?
I think it should indeed be changed back to the single-hit kill of old. Carrying at the flag gives you a massive disadvantage in terms of weaponry. Enemies who get too close should be punished with a one-hit melee. Bringing the flag carrier’s melee down to the level of every other player doesn’t discourage bad gameplay by the enemy team.
I think the 2 hit kill relies on a lot of team work where the 1 hit kill, even a solo player would be able to do some damage.
Well i believe even before it still always depended on how close the frag grenade was to you when it went off but if it’s right at your feet i think it should kill you too.
I think one hit kill with objective objects should indeed return. The fact that Infinite makes it harder for flag carriers to get away without being scene just makes one hit kills feel right. Just make the player move slower holding the flag and we’d be good
I think the carrier should be given the pistol again, as there’s no defense from ranged attacks and most of my deaths as a carrier were from a distance. Also, pushing the flag with the Ghost is a bit cheap.

To be fair, it is a team game mode, ideally your team mates would be looking for potential threats and aiding your escape with the flag. Also I have to disagree with the vehicles being able to push the flag, its just too much fun and I laugh my -Yoink- off everytime xD
The flag does deal increased melee damage, though not quite enough imo. While some folks will escort the flag carrier, it’s nice to have some good close range defense just in case your teammates are deciding to just frag out and not protect the carrier. Though the flag should not have options for folks at a range
