Infinite feels like COD with shields

but ngl, nice troll post though. 7/10.

no it feels like halo dont know what else to tell you

…complicated? ya’l are saying h5g is complicated to play? please, it is by a league, the easiest halo. which is why i say it’s CoD with shields. the ttk is so darn quick for me killing and for others killing. be it with the AR, magnum, dmr, br, smg, etc… nothing takes skill to use. which is why i personaly don’t like the overly accurate AR in 5/infinite. 0 skill, point and shoot, no need at all to feather. same with the sidekick/magnum. it’s entirely player friendly, the most player friendly in the entirety of halo. practically as friendly as, low and behold, CoD.
if you’re saying ā€˜it’s complicated’ because of the spartan abilities… you’re just bad. they’re situational is all. be it the charge or ground pound.
3 and Reach were less player friendly from the high skill ceiling. rewarding yet hard, almost competitive. h5 is just easy. the only challenge i’ve encountered is in ranked, but that makes sense, it’s ranked/comp afterall.

I appreciate putting the effort in but post your arena service record. Show me how easy it really was. I did ask in advance. Thanks

i would… if waypoint would let me. it shows the image or link in the preview… yet, i guess i’m not allowed to have media in a post. thanks 343 -v-

I figured that after I said it.

I’d still say it’s the more complicated game just because of the possibilities with the movement. It’s a filter to newer players.

The ttk is fast yes and the guns are super accurate but not enough to outweigh all the button combos the game has for movement.

I’m not saying I can’t do it or Halo 5 was hard for me but even just looking at it as a neutral there’s a lot more going on. Floating around slowly on Halo 3 is pretty standard stuff than anyone can pick up quickly. They both have extreme skill ceilings but one is a lot more pickup and play than the other.

Unless you’re Sniping. God H5’s sniping is stupid easy.

so like the spartan charge, ground pound, thruster, sprint and wall clamber? the latter three anyone can figure out within a game or two. and the first two are so situational. they’re not complicated, just heavily situational

i’d say the overly fast ttk and overly powerful guns to outweigh any purpose of the spartan abilities. well, aside from sprint and thrusters. at least in my experience, i see most players, myself included, use the guns faaar more than the abilities. again, except for sprint and thrusters

much more pick up and play, yes. and i will admit, h5 is fun. but in my oppinion, because h5 is very easy and very casual friendly, it feels like CoD with shields. at least compared to the other halo games. i mean, h3 is also pick up and play, but most situations required some sort of strategy. in h5… there is strategy, yes, but it feels like very little is needed

as a side note, playing halo infinite really makes me want h5g on pc. that’d be sooo fun

I agree with you. Halo 5 was not that hard. I got to diamond 4 in ranked FFA just by running around with an AR and using melee/spartan charge. All you had to do was know which mechanics to cheese and with a little bit of tactical awareness most players couldn’t stop it. I basically smashed through the Gold’s and Plats by using that method. The only people that could stop it were the obvious smurfs. Halo 5 was fun but it was cheesy and not really a halo game.

I can normally get a kill with 4-6 bursts at 3x the range you were referencing on Bazaar.

I’m saying it’s not overly hard to land good shots at those ranges due to no BR spread, in H3 it was somewhat similar to bullet drop the farther you go the spread would increase thus decreasing the accuracy of the gun.

Yeah this game has enormous problems; the radar being so small, the TTK being so short, the grenades being so plentiful and overpowered, the fact that you hit shots even when you literally miss the shots… it’s really not good.

Actually.

It’s easy to play.

Hard to master.

You were not simply going up against the best players with basic movement. Just not happening

I was talking about the ar. Not the br. The AR can’t land shots that far with the same accuracy like a br can.

Oh dang, yeah, I get you. The AR can still make insane shots, I managed to burst fire the AR last night on Highpower btb map that was in optimal BR range. I raised my eyebrow to that.

If they made the commando less crap we should spawn with that in BtB maybe. I don’t really like AR starts.

Yeah perhaps a commando would work better.

Neither does Infinite. Either you’re new to Halo or just ranting to vent.

Actually, Halo came first. CoD feels like halo without shields** fixed it for you.

Yeah halo was more in the vein of counter strike though. No sprint, basic movement controls, and difficult to master maps and weapons. COD really made sprint main stream in fps games and Titanfall was mind blowing when it came to movement (they were original cod developers). The trend in the mainstream has been about movement and guns that FEEL good for quite some time now.

Infinite is just following the trend rather than giving us a polished experience that focuses on other aspects of fps games like maps and weapon skill. The cod without shields remark is about the whole paradigm of gameplay design in general. Fluid movement, weapons that ā€œfeelā€ a certain way, with maps and modes being basically an afterthought has made tons of money for activision recently. 343 is basically giving us more of the same right now.

even in COD 2019 you need to learn how to control each gun’s recoil pattern

Have… you played a COD game recently? Like… just watch youtube videos of COD gameplay and tell me it’s identical to Halo.

Meh. COD has had the same meta for several years now. There’s one assault rifle and one SMG everyone uses and they aren’t that difficult tbh.
