Ever since H4 it’s been trying to be something it’s not.

At least Halo 5 was it’s own thing with its own ideas. Halo infinite and Halo 4 are just middle man games ment to try to please everyone

Halo was better when it wasn’t chasing COD’s -Yoink!-. Remove sprint and all the problems are fixed aside from the OP pistol, useless radar and ping hackers.

Honestly couldn’t feel more different. I play warzone now and again and it feels terrible compared to infinite. Plus In cod if you’re spotted first you’re dead. Halo you have the chance to turn it around with clever movement

I’ve played Halo for the last 15 years, I made an edit that answers a lot of replies here but I’m just running into minor issues every game I play, 50% of the melees feel borked from either the enemy or myself and the TTK seems exceptionally fast from time to time in 1v1’s.

H5G was alright, I quit playing it as my primary game after 6 months because it felt insane dealing with thruster and close quarters fighting combination.

That’s what I loved about it. Using parkour and acrobatic moves makes me extremely excited. It’s one of the most fun I had in video games. I think it’s a shame certain people can’t handle it. I also bet that the elite controller with all four paddles is the only way to experience Halo 5. I was able to do a lot of things with ease on all four paddles

Definitely became one shot and in call of duty and turned on people. It’s not as easy as you make it out to be

H5 is definitely is the most complicated in the series, I had to take many breaks from it over the years and go back to MCC.

As did 90% of the Halo community

I don’t know if it was really the most complicated, but it was the most convoluted. Halo 1 and 2 were very complicated games for high level play, but they were simpler to control than Halo 5.

Playing Halo 5 just felt sloppy. I think it lost the simple flow of movement and map control that Halo 1-3 had developed.

The AR really should not be as accurate as it is at range. It should mostly win close quarters battles against BR’s.

Ya just needs wall jumping and pitched tents lol :joy:

I’m mainly talking about the shredding aspect, sometimes I’m just dead. So fast it’s inexplicable considering to the best I can tell I was only in a 1v1.

Ya the combat needs acomplete rework everything is so random. Melee might kill in one hit or three and lunge is absolutely random. Killing around corners occurs way too often. Damage just seems like it’s applied at random intervals instead of instantly. The inconsistencies make it to where i can dominate one half of a match and then not get a kill for several minutes against the same people. Base movement speed is far too fast especially when strafing and back strolling.

Even with these problems it still feels like Halo but also more like a modern military shooter than any previous title. H4 being my favorite BTW. Just needs a lot more work than what it’s gonna get I’m afraid.

Definitely does not feel like halo, idk what you’re talking about lol.

The kill banner at the top of the screen will tell you if someone assisted the kill or not.

Lol its nothing like COD. You must be the same guy who said tactical slayer is just like COD.
