In or around Halo Infinite I think there will be chacters that might get the Jul and Didact treatment or the Thorne treatment. Below are the people and other living beings (from H5G) to get said treatments.
Jul 'Mdama and Didact treatment:
Warden Etenal
Sarah Palmer
Thorne treatment:
Locke
Orisis team (Buck not included)
Let’s hope that you are wrong. Of course (Buck not inlcuded). -_- Just because these characters may not fit your narrative, doesn’t mean that you get to just write them off. Buck goes too.
tbh i hope the majority of those characters never return.
To be fair though, all of the Spartans in Osiris have some pretty cool backstories and personalities. They were written so poorly though that they never got a chance to show that off. I hope they do stick around and the new and competent writer for the game gives them a chance. Although, I’d understand if the characters you mentioned aren’t included.
I like to think there’s still a chance for Palmer to become more popular with the fans without changing her personality before (if) she dies. I hope 343i work that out. What’s the point of sacrificing a main/secondary character if the players don’t feel anything (but for some, relief) from it?
The Warden Eternal… I think I’d like one final boss battle with him that somehow causes him to die completely. But I don’t want repeated fights with him in the same game; just the one. And I don’t like killing such characters in the first or second level. It causes the rest of the game to feel anticlimactic, which we should all be familiar with since 2015. It doesn’t have to be in Infinite though. They could have him absent from Infinite as long as there’s a decent explanation for it. I just don’t want them to act like he never existed in the first place.
I can see Locke and Osiris getting the Majestic treatment. What I’d rather is for them to appear alongside you during part(s) of the Campaign, just as fellow NPC Spartans, not in any of the cutscenes.
Don’t know what I want from Blue Team at this point. As a long time reader of the books (about eleven years now), I’d like them to be treated well. What that means exactly, I’m not sure. Anybody?
