How early do Betas usually come out before the actual game & how long do they stick around for?
The last beta i played Halo related was Reach & i dont remember specifically how long we got to play it or how early it came out before the actual game.

Awesome, thanks for the info. Yeah i think i remember them mentioning flights. If it is flights i hope its open to all, & not just a select few like MCC.
I think the Beta will be open to all member of the Halo Community Feedback Program.
MCCi started small because they wanted targeted feedback from players who knew the game well.
They’ll likely want a much broader base for feedback with the new game.
It’s entirely dependent on the developers. Most stress test betas happen months before launch. Length also depends on the devs, most typically last half a week to a week
FO76 is doing a beta late October, the game launches mid November. Cod had their beta last month and the game is coming out somewhere in October, same with battlefield 5. Anthen is having aplhas in January but the game comes out February. There’s a sample of some AAA games doing beta/tests a mere month or two before launch. Like I said though, it just depends on the developers. H5 had it’s beta a whole year before launch, infinite could get the same treatment or they could move it to months before launch 🤷

A nice early beta would be nice. Something to keep me occupied & involved in the mean time.

I believe it is a gaming event in november. Smaller then e3. They talk about games, new tech & such. (someone can correct me if im wrong)

It sounds like 343i is going to do multiple this time though so who knows how early and frequent there’ll be or even how many. I’d imagine the earliest they’d start would be a year before release, anything before that you’d figured be in too rough shape to be playable.
Time will tell, but our anticipation will grow. If and when I receive that email one thing is certain, I’ll probably call in sick the day after (;

A double beta akin to Halo Wars 2 would be a possibility.
But they could just keep the beta going until launch with the Insider Program. Which may kill the hype.
It depends on how they want to do it. If it’s anything like halo 5 we could expect one up to a year before release but we don’t know. How I would like it is that the beta would be at least 6 months or so before release so that there’s times to make real changes. Not like most betas nowadays where its practically a demo bc it’s a month before release (cod, battlefield l, etc)

That’s an interesting thought, maybe that’s what they meant by “flight” instead of “beta”. That would help them make the best game possible.
Our best guess that there could be a beta near New Years and see where it goes for there

Not sure how they’ll run a beta on the X1, if it’s launching w/ next gen. Of course this is all conjecture. Maybe a demo/release announcement at E3 2019.

There we go. That’s what I was looking for. There has only been one halo game on the xbone family. I would hope there would be at least one more.
