Infinite and all its content & assets should transfer to Unreal Engine 5

343i most likley will NOT do this, but since it is confirmed they are switching Halo from Slipspace Engine to Unreal Engine 5, all of Halo Infinite gradually, should transfer alongside all its content and assets to the new engine to make live service and content drops easier to manage long-term!

Halo Infinite is not switching to UE5. The team continues to support Slipspace, and Slipspace will continue to be Halo Infinite’s engine. A small team at 343 is currently working with UE5 to find Halo’s “feel.” Should this team succeed, future Halo titles will be built using UE5, and new assets will be designed/built for whatever that game is.

Hard disagree. It would be an incredible undertaking and would result in less support for the current game.

I don’t think it’s possible to gradually transition engines. Maybe you can migrate the menus and UI stuff, but the gameplay/assets would have to be rebuilt from scratch and be released together. I could only Imagine the issues that would come from running the gameplay in Slipspace while pulling assets from UE.

Rather see a halo 3 remaster then a graphic update on infinite.

You shouldn’t post about stuff you have no idea about how it works. You can’t just transfer stuff from one engine to another. Even switching from Unreal 4 to Unreal 5 is not an easy or quick process and those are 90% the same. For the next project they might work with unreal, but Infinite is gonna stay on slipspace.
