Where is Infection/Flood 343i? When is it coming? I personally have not heard one single thing about flood or infection and well… I love the new forging, it definitely takes time to understand, but it just isn’t the same without making maps for infection which is a HUGE past time of mine. A lot of the community forgers rely on this single game type alone for many… many custom games. As a community, we are missing an important member of our custom game family! Is it coming soon? Am i missing it in the menu? I don’t want to start on forging Infection maps and it never comes! Does anyone know anything? Even a release date or even a simple “soon” from Frankie, BS Angel, or Bravo will work! Please 343, let us know something! Thank you!

I was thinking the same. Lots of custom games are built around infection gametypes. Infection/flood is a classic that must be in every Halo game. I don’t understand why 343 keeps designing new REQs and stuff without including classic content first…

I remember seeing The Maw, a recreation of the last Combat Evolved level, in Forge. It was brilliant!
Now we won’t have anymore levels like that because 343i clearly hates classic games.

Maps made strictly for a single gametype as a whole suck, but then again, isn’t that the point of the community? We’re not asking for maps only for infection, just for infection to be a gametype. I can see infection on breakout maps, BTB maps, custom maps, and even a few arena maps. Why? Because it shares the same basic principles as most game types, you vs an enemy, and the goal is to survive ( or capture an objective by surviving ).
I don’t want to hear anything negative, I like Halo 5 and it’s a solid game.
I want to hear a release date, or at least a plan in place to launch infection/flood at some point. I have many plans to create many infections maps, but I don’t want to put in the work if it’s not going to be released or there is no plan to. I honestly think they will, I just need to hear it for sure. I created a part of a map last night, and it took me forever. Know that I’ve been creating in game maps since Far Cry Instincts Evolution and I have forged in every Halo so I know a thing or two about knowing a thing or two. If I could JUST know if it’s planned to be released… I could comfortably start on infections maps so by the time infection is released I could just make the gametype and it’d be all set for my custom game nights!

I’m trying to do a duck hunt style map, (normally used with the infection game type)
I was thinking using the Free for All game type and then randomly every round 1 person would spawn in the sniper section. The only thing I can’t figure out is how to make it so no matter how many players are in the game, each round, a random player will always spawn at a single location.
Any ideas changing the settings on the spawn objects?

This is all theory but maybe,
put one initial spawn in the tower then only place respawn points no other initial spawns and set lives to 2,
that way people will spawn under the map and die then be forced to the respawn points
(use the bug to an advantage)

Im pretty sure theres no way to do it. Properly anyway. You could do free for all but what happens when the person who makes isnt the only survivor?
I hope infection can truly make it into the social playlists sooner or later because almost everything beside warzone is competitive, which is extremely ridiculous. Give us an answer 343!!!
