Infection

I want to start this by saying I’m having a lot of fun with the new infection gametype. One thing I can’t stand however, is the fact that there is nothing special about the alpha zombies, big deal they have avtive camo, I’d be fine with the camo if it actually concealed the infected, but it doesn’t. I have a friend who needs to wear glasses or it gets difficult to see the game, but even without glasses he has no problem finding the alpha zombie.

Well when you move you become less transparent. Here are the perks for the alpha:

  1. Active camo
  2. Stays off radar
  3. Hard to get a red reticle on them (if you’ve ever tried to shoot an alpha with a precision weapon, you’ll know about this)

i havent played halo in a couple of weeks and im about to play and infection is the first thing im going to play and im super excited

They are always off the radar no matter what which is a huge perk from beginning to end, just have a normal infected charge them and you come in behind alone and boom you’re clear, its great for the last survivor too because you can just back stab them as they run since they can’t see you

I think the Alpha zombies have the right advantages. I get kills from behind all the time as an alpha. They can’t see you on radar (Biggest advantage, you can literally run at people without consequence) The invisibility is only really good when you’re not moving, but as someone above mentioned, there is hardly any aim assist on an alpha zombie if they are not moving or crouch walking. This is another huge advantage, if you pay attention you’ll notice people having a much harder time hitting you (unless they are an insane shot) They can’t make the alphas truly invisible, that would be way too easy to kill people. If they did that they would have to give the humans like, temporary thermal vision or something to offset the advantage.

the alphas also dont show up on radar

zombies need more mobility. Some of those spots get really campy for the survivors. The only way zombies can kill is to pile up and hope one guy can kills before the camped Spartan(s) kills everyone. There is literally a map where a satellite dish blocked the point of entry and entry point is so limited even one Spartan can hold up in there for an incredible amount of time. And because zombies have virtually no mobility to enter that small access point quickly, they just pile on bodies after bodies. I have been on the zombie and survivor end of this hideout and it’s so much better on the survivor end. Some of these areas need to get re-worked so the infected only option isn’t to just pile up bodies.

I agree. The camo is not very useful. You can easily spot the alpha.

If they were completely invisible they would be extremely op
