Still…what a disappointment (don’t start hating)
what a downgrade from H4…couldn’t they just use the same flood modules? Although some say the H4’s infection is bad…still the flood look amazing they were will made
Edit: I’m hyped for infection

They were well-made, yes.
But pretty models don’t make up for customization. Many saw Flood as a downgrade from Halo 3 and Reach’s Infection due to this. And I agree with them there. Custom Infection games were a lot more varied and fun.
Without flood models (and proper gametype customization), you can also produce a variety of other fan-favorites that just weren’t possible in Halo 4. Such as Fat Kid, The Vent, Jenga, Ghost Busters, Duck Hunt and many others that were effectively gimped in Halo 4.
Jenga and The Vent are fairly dependent on how good the physics are, but if maps like that one avalanche mini-game are any indication…

That’s another good point I forgot about, thanks for reminding me

The green swords were also a nice touch.

The lack of flood models was intentional as it is what the majority of the community wanted as it allows for so many more custom game options and possibilities. Given how impressed 343 is with all of what the customs community is doing, they got rid of flood models as they saw great potential for custom game options.
