Infection scoring?

I’ve been playing a lot of Haloween infection and just had a great match as a survivor, but I came in second place as I had 1 less infection than the first player but 29 more survivor kills than him. It doesn’t bother me all too much that I didn’t make 1st, but I am curious on how the scoring works. Do infections just give a lot of points, or am I missing something?

Here’s the scoreboard in case anyone was curious. And I apologize if this is a repeat post. First time posting here

You get more points if you get kills as an infected, especially if you kill the last man standing. It’s been like that ever since Infection was added to Halo 5.

I figured that was the case, but I just wanted to be sure. I only started playing H5 these past few months so some of the gameplay aspects are still unknown to me. Thanks for the answer.

Yeh the scoring systen in Infection makes no sense. I’ve been in games like the castle and destroyed the Infection players easily with top kills, even scored multiply times, the only one to score and yet oddly not being Infected meant I couldn’t be 1st place.

Yeah you have to watch the scoring for kills of human and zombie. Some games do have differences if I can remember.
