Infection Refresh

What are your thoughts on the refreshed infection maps? I think that it was time to get some new maps, but I don’t think that they should have changed the old maps. I just doesn’t feel the same. On old maps, I had a really good hiding spots for each of the maps and now, I am having trouble with finding a new one. The graphics on Station Zulu are terrible. I know its supposed to look cold and frosty, but they could have done a better job. It now looks like a CE or H2 map because the “Frosty look” to me looks like really bad graphics. I do however really enjoy Hellfire and the fact there is a prophets bane in the lava.

I haven’t gotten too much of a chance to play much Infection, but from what I’ve played I’m very impressed with the refresh. While I’m glad many of the OP spots on the old maps were patched, I wish they didn’t change the layout as much. Still trying to find all the precision weapons on the new maps, but they were very well made.

Everything is great, except for Malignant and Station Zulu. They were fine before.

Only change I didn’t like was Station Zulu’s.

I have a huge issue with the Crypt 2.0 - the starting spawns for the zombies are directly in the line of sight of the survivors, meaning the survivors can see the zombies spawn in as the round starts.

Unless you play very smart, being a zombie on the Crypt 2.0 is a nightmare when everyone gets every single weapon on that overpass. Super frustrating.

Meh

Some of the old maps were not only changed aesthetically, but also changed glitch spots, exploits yada yada. I think most of it is fine at the moment but a bunch of the new maps have a bunch of exploits.

So true, Crypt is the ONLY map I do not like out of the 17 available maps in Infection, partly because it’s so open and has super-mega OP guns (*cough Binary Rifle *cough) and largely because it SUCKS being Infected on such a hugely (and terrible) open map. I will say this though, put this map in Action Sack or a 5v5 playlist and it would be great fun!

Infection is the only game type that I actually enjoy playing, would love some revamped maps for the extra experience.
