How do you think the Infection game mode should be handled,
Should all players start with shotguns and magnums?
Should flood be able to clamber?
Should flood have boosters?
What maps should be used?
Etc.
There shouldn’t be any flood. That’s what killed Halo 4 “infection” for me. Well, along with the dumb super boosters.
Yes you should be able to have the option to let infected players boost and clamber.

“flood” simply refers to the infected player, I hated the game mode as well
I don’t know how i feel about the infected players looking all floody.
Having a sword would have more of a nostagic feel to it.
There should be the ability to have a Flood skin like H2A had. I think that Infected having Spartan Abilities would be pretty interesting, it might also add to the effect because there would be a bunch of very mobile zombies around you.
I think infection was fun. Give them a speed boost and swords. Just like the classic game mode. Better than fricken zombies in my opinion.

I figured, it just reminded me of it. Lol

I hope that game mode burns in hell and never returns in any form ever again. I remember my massive sense of disappointment when playing flood for the first time right after playing alpha zombies in Halo Reach. Alpha Zombies in my opinion is still the ultimate infection experience. It perfectly captured every great thing about infection

The only thing that the Flood mode did correctly, IMO, was how the humans could pick up weapons in certain gamemodes.

I thought the concept was really cool but the outcome was awful. They had the right idea though, I think how Halo 2 did it was best, you still had a sword and stuff but the player had a bit of flood look to them, it was really enjoyable

I love the way H2A did it, it was also nice that you could switch the skin off if you wanted.

Perhaps they can make it look more Floody than they did in Halo 4, like green and slimy, and put the barb on the right arm, leaving the left to hold the sword.
For the Survivors
- a Pistol (maybe even the classic magnum if that comes back) and a shotgun with 2 magazines worth of ammo
-no grenades
-limited radar range (maybe smaller than 18m) - Sprint, clamber and all that good stuff enabled. Except for spartan charge, that might not work out very well in infection.
For the Flood
-a sword
-alpha zombie a Prophets Bane maybe?
-increased movement speed
-increased jump height
-increased radar
-sprint disabled
-thrust, clamber and stabalizers enabled
-no shield
I figured I would move this here, because it’s much more related.

> Oh yeah! It could be similar to Hunger games, with asupply section in the middle that you need to fight towards and then lock down to survive.
This is basically what my gamemode was, except unlike the Hunger Games humans could not fight each other. And there was weapons spread throughout the entire map. (I typically played the mode on BTB maps.) I love the concept of the humans starting with nearly ineffective weapons, so that they are forced to move around and look for better ones.

Yeah, Halo 4 had a creepy, smiley and near Flood-looking thing.
I agree, the model in Halo 4 didnt even look like a flood form. Flood usually have those three red antennae sticking out and the claw doesn’t even almost look right.
I agree the H2A version of the flood was ideal. Infected swords and slightly infected spartans. PLEAES NO ACTUAL FLOOD. 2 swipes to kill is just dumb.
I think they should add unique magums and shotguns. Hear me out. The way magnums and shotguns are at the minute, infection just simply wouldn’t be balanced. Altering the damage of humans wouldn’t be ideal either. What would be ideal would be adding a unique magnum or shotgun for Forge/Infections customization options. They could have exactly the same model as the regular weapons but have a unique name, like Survivors shotgun, Survivors magnum or Infection Shotty, Infection Magnum, you get the picture.
As the weapons currently stand, a sword user can’t get anywhere near anyone using a shotgun.
Flood skins should be optional, as should boosters and clamber. Hardly anyone liked Flood in Halo 4 because of how restrictive it was. Flood has left a bad taste in most peoples mouths. It would be best to have a Flood skin option under appearance (Forced colours, default colours, Flood skins etc)
A good starting point would be to go back and look at what was used in Living Dead in Halo 3 and Reach. If 343 announce Infection weeks prior to its release the community will have plenty of time to create their own maps and upload walkthroughs to youtube to try and promote them and get them selected for the initial weekend playlist (weekend playlist first to test maps, perm playlist after maps have been sorted)

Yeah that could absolutely work, they could appear as REQs and be called the “Infection magnum/shotgun” just like Halo 2 Anniversary’s “Survivor magnum/shotgun” and they could have altered damage, ammo etc
