Infection was confirmed by someone on twitter from 343. I’ve seen the links on here in a couple threads, don’t remember the names of those threads though. As for when? I dunno, maybe Meridian? That could also just be a description of the area the update is built on “machines stir beneath the ground” or w/e. Who knows? It’s possible it could be with Memories of Reach too, Infection was and still is pretty big on Reach

Yeah, if it isn’t in Ghosts of Meridian, the best bet would be Memories of Reach. It might seem a bit weird in Hog Wild, where I’m betting Race (and perhaps Rocket Race?) will be added.

My guess is that if Race was released, it would be done so in a way that consolidates previous modes in a decent manner. (like the Ball mode, used for Assault/Grifball/Oddball)
They could add that, and add a VIP option if they were thorough enough too.
EDIT: Misread, Rocket race is basically Race with the ability to kill with rockets as passengers, it’s a multi-team thing.

Well, we have KoTH, Griffball, Assault and Ricochet; we’ll be getting Firefight. All of these were heavily requested like Infection. I think they are working in Infection then…

I like plain Spartans the best, overall. (Infection, which is different from Flood)
No restrictions on weapons or anything, and it allows much more derivative gametypes instead of the forced Zombie look and feel.

I don’t get that vibe from the text that was quoted and tend to agree that it’s more likely to come with the reach update, but who knows? There’s been quite a lot of threads and posts to indicate that the people want it. It’d be good to get a bit more of a roadmap as to what is in development. It’s not as if keeping people in the dark is a good strategy, if anything I think it might help build community (spirit and trust) if we had a better idea of what they (343i) are planning for the future.

I would rather if they added a option to infected to become Flood in customs and do it like Swatnums does. But becoming a Promethean would be cool as hell, imagine walking around with a Promethean Blade… Oooh so nice
