Black Friday has an area under the stairs that can be held indefinitely by Spartans, and there’s rock ledge on Backwoods- clearly outside the map- where Spartans can camp without ever being found or reached. Furthermore, Scavenger (not Infection, i know) has an area outside of the map above Scattershot that can be hidden in by an entire team. I’m fine with the nonsense basement on Power Installation and the stupid one-way crate bs on R. I.Ptide, but when broken maps that weren’t intending to be unfair make it into matchmaking, it needs to be pointed out, I think.
In my opinion, a rebalance of certain areas need to be made for the sake of map flow. People are going to the map edges and not having to worry about 90% of the map. However, the other map-breaking problems should be fixed first… and then the poor design choices should get a once-over.
here we go again.
people will find hiding spots.
they have in all past Halo zombie/infection games.
this isn’t new.
stop complaining.
if they are inside the map it is not an issue. if they are getting outside of the map then i can see it being an issue but at the same time it is only infection

This isn’t complaining. I could complain about the imbalance, even though I love this iteration, but I’m simply pointing out legitimately broken parts of the maps.
That black friday spot isnt broken

Technically, the Black Friday area is inside the map, but it was clearly designed to be blocked off and is not. The other two I mention are clearly outside the map.
lol the one in black friday is easy. crouch-zoom-slash should work or crouch-thrust-slash. Power installation is funny, my teammates blocked the way with the giant crate, but the other side was breachable because you only have one big crate and a small power generator thing that can easily be moved or jump-crouch over. When you play as the infector play as if you are the predator. Don’t forget zooming in with the sword increases lunge distance.

I would try to convince you that the creator intended that area to be unreachable, but I honestly don’t know. However, I find it unlikely that such a position, if it were supposed to be usable, would be blocked off as it is.
backwoods has a little whale in the ocean that you can jump on, right under the area people like to camp in, where that wooden platform is. if you look down youll see a whale, you have to stay under the wooden floor otherwise you’ll meet the kill boundary (its timed so dont be scared) its a great hiding spot when your not the last man standing.
To be clear, my real issues are with Black Friday, Backwoods, and Scavanger. These maps- great maps- have areas that are clearly designed to be inaccessible, yet are being used at the expense of balance, immersion, and fun. I merely express the wish that they be fixed- or that someone tell me these areas are intentional.

Ha! That’s an awesome little easter egg!
the only spot I have an issue with is the little hollow behind the tree by the house near the spawn in Backwoods.
Physically impossible for zombies to kill anyone in there, but the human has no problem (if they have ammo)
The interesting thing about infection is that if all the survivors decided to hold up in any one spot, they’d never get infected. BUT if you remove all holdable checkpoints, then being infected would be a breeze. I don’t think people realize how hard it is to make a balanced infection map. I’m not saying OP is wrong about the specifically named locations, I just think it’s worth noting that infection map balance is more complicated than any other gametype so patience is definitely warranted.

ive hidden there so many times and the infected never see me. it felt really awesome to find that little whale there. plus it was funny seeing how my teammates reacted to seeing a dude “floating” in the air too

Absolutely, it is impossible to kill the survivor back there.
That spot on black friday is so easily to counter…like seriously

Thanks for your measured response. I’m only trying to point out legitimately broken, missing-invisible-barrier type stuff.
I enjoy the rooms everyone camps in Infecton. I love the challenge of racing down to the spots to try and kill them before they get setup. I also enjoy storming the room to if I can get anybody.

See, this might be a problem area. Not quite sure where you’re talking about, though.

you pointed out camping in infection on certain parts of the maps.
this isn’t anything new in past Halo infection games.
why point them out now?
