Infection Kills/Deaths count against arena K/D

Seems to be a problem. These kills and deaths should be completely separate from your arena K/D.

This also discourages some people from pushing survivors when infected simply because of the sheer amount of deaths you’ll get.

Discourages initial infected from actually going after survivors.

If I’m infected I don’t care how many times I die, as long as I’m doing my job it’s fine.

No one cares about overall arena k/d because of things like grfiball and infection.

I’m sure it must be easy to look up things like arena slayer k/d if you want to stroke your ego.

I’m not sure why it matters? Especially in Team Arena wouldn’t you rather be ranked Onyx and have a .8 K/D than being ranked gold with a 3.00 K/D? Or am I missing something here? Your goal should be to win not to have the best stats.

no one cares about W/L (sadly) as long as they do well (K/D) they can stroke their “i am good at halo” ego. i for one, don’t mind putting my body on the line in strongholds. but that is because i except to go negative anyway lol. my rule is, as long as i don’t go negative 5 or more. i don’t really mind if we got the win.

i wish K/D tracking wasn’t a thing. it literally ruined objective gametypes in all first person shooters

I rather enjoy playing objective games versus people who still think it’s slayer/TDM no matter what FPS I’m playing. While they are padding their stats I am actually capturing objectives and winning games.

I totally agree with this - it should never be tracked for objective gametypes.

I don’t get why people care about K/D when winning is more rewarding.

My overall Arena K/D has actually IMPROVED because of Infection. Then again, I’ve had a lot of experience with past Infection games so it was just a matter of time before I got used to this one and started doing really well.

every time i hear my friend say “how do you uh… check your K/D” i hope that the game doesn’t have it. or at very least, makes it hard to find. i have noticed that lately games have only been tracking your kills and not deaths (battlefront,DOOM)

people care because it “measures” how good you are, but for me, i think score per minute is a far better indication of how good you are.
when it comes objective gametypes anyway
