GUYS INFECTION IS COMING. Josh Holmes confirmed it in a tweet. It’s not easy to make this stuff, so be patient, especially since it’s been confirmed. It may be the best infection yet.
It’s like asking for a huge meal. This meal has every other meal at the restaurant included. You get 50% of it, but you don’t get the desserts just yet. The waiter says it’s coming. If you ask him too much, he’ll bring it half prepared. You won’t like it. If you wait, it’ll come out fully and you’ll never taste anything better.
Similarly, if you ask 343 too much, well first they have some sanity so they wouldn’t bring it half done, but if they do, you guys would rant on even more about how they suck. Only a minority are being somewhat patient. If everyone waits, 343 can bring infection out better than ever, and you guys would love it. So morale of the story is be patient.
EDIT: People don’t understand. I wanted Infection from the start too. I would rather have it delayed. Microsoft deadlines kind of stopped it short. Be glad it’s coming at all. I’m just trying to make a point that it HAS been confirmed.
EDIT AGAIN: GUYS THIS HAS HIT THE FRONT PAGE OF THE FORUMS.

1.- Yet it was not a problem on Halo 3, Reach and even Halo 4, why was it so hard to do it for H5 from the begining? yes the game has new mechanics, still they could have gotten the gametype in along with many others missing at launch.
2.- Why? why must we accept to get less content for the same price when past games of the same series had this same content for the same prices we paid for Halo 5?
We are not geting a 50% off price, we are getting less content for full retail price and then get the rest of the game “eventually” under the “free DLC” flag.
3.- We have been patient, but again why must we wait for something that was on prior games day one to come out months later on this iteration of the game? being patient has not worked when it comes to 343I case in point MCC still broken, but hey lets be patient.

I’d be willing to argue that the game would’ve taken longer to make.
-
^^ It’s like we get the game early and the rest come when it’s done.
-
MCC was a disaster, but they have addressed everything the community has asked for for Halo 5, have they not? Gametypes – on the way. Non-remix maps – on the way. I could think of more, but I’m too lazy.
So, yeah. Be patient. You knew what you payed for (or at least the information was available to you) before you bought the game.

Microsoft put deadlines on 343. They said themselves they wanted to add everything at launch, but they couldn’t because of Microsoft’s October deadline.
People do realize with the new game play style (i.e. the boosting, sliding, and sprinting) they need to balance infection and change how it plays so that it works better to the style Halo 5 is based around. They can’t just copy and paste from Halo 3 because it wouldn’t play the same. Balancing is big key to the game so they will want to make it fun for both the survivors and the infected. Let 343 do their jobs, I would be deeply appreciative if you would refrain from speaking. about it not being in the game, and be patient like OP said.

YES. EXACTLY. I was arguing on youtube about this as well. If it was a matter of Control C - Control V, it would already be here. They have to adjust it and all.
Another “Be patient for content that you had on launch years ago” thread. 343 had the same amount of dev time as Bungie did for their games. Lets just call it like it is. They pale in comparison to Bungie.

Oh how dare you!?
343I has to work with new mechanics, n stuff! (I mean its not like Bungie did not add new mechanics on Halo Reach after Halo 3, and yet they still had infection on Reach at launch)

Don’t say that. They’ll think you’re comparing 343 to Bungivision. Not pre-Reach Bungie.

I know this is gonna be heresy on these forums, but im gonna say it anyway. Vanilla Destiny was boring as sin, but compared to most FPS games, was it really that lacking in content? On launch:
- Story Campaign (albeit short)
- Co-Op Strikes (akin to Spartan Ops)
- Multiplayer with a handful of modes and some actually really good maps
- A six-player Raid that lasts about 45 min. If you know what youre doing.
- Open-World esque hub areas for chilling and shooting stuff

Ummm… Did you not read this?

Yet they still had 3 years to develop the game, same ammount of time that Bungie had to develop theirs, they too had to cut some content from the games because of deadlines (As shown by ViDocs) and yet they came out with way more content than Halo 5.
Even Halo 4 had more content than H5 and I am sure 343I had to comply with a deadline for H4 too, so again what is the excuse?

Okay, yes, but The Dark Below and House of Wolves was still cut, albeit not completely finished, on-disk content. Which was not entirely Bungie’s fault, it was part of their Activision contract, but still, low blow.
Seriously, watch this. This was the real Bungie. This is how you Halo.

Funny, because Halo 2 was even more crunched for time, and they had a multitude of new features plus they managed to keep all the old ones! (Except Race…RIP Race until it returned in Halo 3)

Yes, but they had to split the campaign in half, and remove Race. Because of deadlines. Don’t blame 343 entirely. Some of it has to do with MS deadlines.
They should have just delayed the game until it was done, instead of struggling to release content monthly.
I think the complaints are more than just infection as they state. Look at how 5 launched compared to others. These issues may say infection but the meaning is much worse.

Thank you! I would much rather had this delayed a whole year later if that meant getting it finished.
