Anyone who played Halo 3 in its prime knows that Infection Custom Games were amazing; some of the most fun you’ve ever had on a video game.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but Reach’s Infection, in Customs and MM, lacked something. I can’t say for sure what it is, but it just wasn’t the same.
I hope that Halo 4’s Infection improves upon this (If there really is something to improve).
Yes Infection custom games were really fun, infact i have played more custom games then matchmaking in halo 3.
Honestly speaking, i dont think (with so many changes to halo now), infection will feel the same as it did before.

I think the opposite. With all the changes, Infection could become better than ever.

i didnt say it was going to feel worse. i said its not gonna feel the same.
The Reach’s Infection lacked the creepiness.
When I played Braaains in Halo 3, I had the feeling of being a guy trying to survive the attack of zombies. In Reach it felt like chilling around headshooting zombies.
Halo 4 just need to make the Infection game type more of a big team battle size, rather than a slayer size game.
I hope the infected turn into Flood. That’s be awesome. It’s a simulator training anyway so it would make sense.
Reach had the scoped pistol, making Infection all about long range kills. The maps were also much more out in the open, which contributed to the pistol kills and also took away the cool claustrophobic feel of Halo 3’s Infection. Reach’s Infection is less about on-edge fun and more about raking in credits from all the 1 shot kills.
What killed Infection in Halo: Reach was the fact that we didn’t have Alpha Zombies up until a year after release. By then, Reach’s prime time had passed.
I hope that the zombies are weaponless this time around instead of carrying energy swords. Whenever I play infection, it looks more like i’m fighting jedies instead of zombies imo.
Well, I always liked how rare double xp weekend was for living dead. Just waking up crossing fingers that living dead is there. It’s so easy to play infection now. I just got sick of the reach maps! I want to play on forge maps instead of playing on the same maps. Seriously, Uncaged, Countdown and Boardwalk. No thanks.
Reach’s Living Dead stagnated because it was the most accidental Duck Hunt remake of all time.
One Human in a ridiculously-dug-in position, whose completely exposed entry points all fall under the Human’s line of sight, forcing the Zombies to form into a suicide conga line. Nearly every match devolves into this, or something similarly inane.
Halo 4’s Infection just needs good map and game variant design, the former being the more difficult of the two.
