This idea is basically like a mix of Infection and Firefight Versus. All players start out human and fight the (AI) Flood. When the first human gets killed, it turns into an Infection match with AIs fighting for the infected. Last man standing wins the round.
With this game type, humans will have to use different strategies of survival, because the AIs will be much more deadly (or weaker) than infected players, and the infected players would need to use their AI allies for cover and trickery to get kills. Also, the humans will not be able to distinguish the AI from real players upon first glance, so Humans will have to think quick to survive the fight.
What do you think?
EDIT: Another idea that just occured to me is: What if injured humans had a 50% chance of turning infected within 30 seconds. lol… That would make for some interesting game play.

People seem to do that anyways in Reach’s Infection. Maybe a marker could be placed over a zombie’s head after several minutes of not getting any kills. This game type could also just be an option in custom games to play with honor rules. It would be cool if Halo 4’s options allowed us to make game types like this ourselves.

The flood need to feed on new hosts to survive. So when you play as flood combat form your health will steadily decline until you either die or get a kill. If you get a kill it is the same as receiving a health pack in CE or Reach. This would require a health based system though.
I actually tried to make this as an infection gametype about a month ago (Aliens vs Zombies) but it didn’t work, sadly. I’d like to see this as a possible gametype, alongside Firefight Versus maybe?
