So how many of you have thought how cool it would be if Infection started out where everybody is a human, a team of 16, fighting against a flood outbreak on a map the size of Ascension. You hold off flood forms but they get harder to defeat and eventually may kill one of your team-mates. If you don’t shoot the flood off his body in time then he won’t be able to respawn with your team, which in turn makes him one of them.
Now it’s 15 versus 1 and an army of flood.
-Also, according to which ways you forge the map, shield barriers will block flood from coming through the base temporarily, but the more times they attempt, the weaker the shields become.
As you fight on the flood side you gain points with a circle that looks similar to the infinity slayer circle. With each medal you get, your chances of getting the full circle increases. Once it is full you have the option to change forms, get a new powerful weapon, or increase your melee damage by 60% for the next 2 respawns.
The forms can be random, depending on the gametype.
As a human you kill flood, and gain points to fill up your circle. Once it’s full you have the option to spawn a power weapon, get an 3x overshield, or repair 1/2 of the broken barriers on the map. If another team mate decides to replenish barriers also it’ll make them even stronger, and a brighter color. Once they reach their full potential the option becomes dimmed in, and no longer available till the barriers are destroyed.

So basically Firefight but with flood until one person dies then they join the army and try to infect the remaining survivors?..I like this idea.
It probably won’t happen, but I like it, just take out the part where humans get stuff, and I’m all good.
I’m all right with the flood getting rewards because, you know, it makes sense.

I guess you could take out the options for humans to get stuff, but I mean, they are fighting a horde of enemies. You gotta give them something.
A flood survival mode… Who WOULDNT say yes to that?

Well you could edit stuff around, or make it to where the human side has to get 20 medals before they are able have an ordinance drop
Hell, it’d be fun on maps like Valhalla for vehicles to be an ordinance drop.

LOL, imagine somebody getting a vehicle drop and it lands on your teammate while he’s fight flood, and then the flood get into the vehicle…XD
Sounds like Floodfight to me, seems like a pretty cool idea, but with that many enemies humans would need a place to restock and get more ammo. I think it would be cool if you play as flood and have the option to revive yourself if you get killed (like flood fomrs always do in the campaign) except in the following cases: death by headshot, death by explosion, death by sword, or death by point blank shotgun. Basically anything that makes your body fall apart would stop you from reviving.
