Infection Custom Issues & Feedback.

Hi Guys, Before I start this isn’t an angry rant. Just putting forward some feedback for 343 to take into consideration.

I’v just went through my custom game maps for games like Halo, Duck Hunt, UFO, Cops and Robbers, etc. and i’v noticed a few issues in the custom setting for Infection.

  1. If the Infected die and you set it to only 1 life. The round continues with the infected dead. Which is broken. So in Duck hunt, once you kill the zombie you have to wait out the timer.

  2. Colour settings. It would have been nice to force the survivors in duck hunt to be Yellow. Or the police in Cops and Robbers to be blue? Its not a major thing, but would be nice to have it added at some point.

  3. No custom power up settings. This goes for most game modes to be honest, but in Infection its really useful especially for games like Halo & duck hunt, allowing the player to change his traits and become invulnerable.

  4. There isn’t an option for random weapons in infection. Its yet another one of those things which you don’t think off at the time as important. but when you make a map with an idea revolving around random weapons and the option isn’t there its kind of frustrating.

This is all for now, I may add some of your suggestions below and hopefully get this pushed to 343i to fix soon.

Good idea.

Now, PLEASE, add the lack of random weapons option to the thread, it’s almost insulting that it isn’t there.

All of the customs my group wanted to play can’t be done because you can’t set weapon to random

Edit: let’s hope this thread gets bumped and stays on top long enough to get an answer from 343i.

Plus, you should change name to “Feedback on infection custom issues”

There are also no vehicle options either.
But another thread also made that known.

All of your points I agree are missing. I love the map possibility in 5, but custom game settings feel lacking in a lot of places.

There are so many things wrong with the world and this is one of them.
The threads that help the game get pushed so far down almost immediately after you post them, yet all the topics with ALL CAPS LOCK or incessant yelling in text form manage to grab more attention.
It’s bad when people have constructive feedback to help, and yet seems almost completely ignored.

This thread isn’t about match making preference issues. Its about Custom game settings for infection please start a new thread for your issues.

Hmm, you see i’m pretty sure i came across the vehicle settings for the infection traits? THats why i didn’t include it :S
