The top of the flagpole in the center courtyard.
The short beam on the right side of the human spawn.
Infection camping is outrageous, we need custom infection maps that either:
A) Keep the humans moving
B)Force them to hole up in a windowless bunker
C)Need to work together to survive successfully
Lets face it, in a real zombie apocalypse if your expecting a shot in the back from your teammate you won’t last two minutes.
I however plan to move to Alaska, because Zombies have no body heat and if they tried to go that far up north they’d freeze into frozen zombiecicles. What’s your zombie plan?
run them over and chop their heads off

A: No, is we had access to make track chase maps, then fair enough, but we don’t have the tools to make good ones. (Thinking of the great chase maps in fc instincs preditor in preditor mode). The play list is about holding out against oncoming hordes of zombies, the main way to do that is too hold up somewhere.
B: Meh, it could work if the maps done well, but onlu if it was balanced and with some open areas, to save corner camping.
C: Thats how things work anyway, if I’m with 2 others, working togather in some spots, we don’t die. people care to much about hording every kill wth randoms though and break the posistion, leaving others exposed.
Makes sense with your zombie contingency idea, but, what happens once supplies run out? The problems the frost cause in general could cause some major problems for machinery not in use. What would be your way out?
OP: You have missed alot of good standoff points on nearly all of those maps. So far, I’ve just seen the most noob friendly listed.

This, pretty much.
Camping in Infection games is a given. That’s basically how it’s supposed to be played, and I don’t mind it at all even when playing as zombie.
When playing as human in Infection, you’re supposed have two choices: You’re either camping in a cramped area where you’re comparatively safe at the cost of not seeing the zombies approach until they’re almost on you because of short lines of sight, or you’re out in the open with long lines of sight but risk getting attacked from all directions.
The camping spots on Reach’s default maps combine the advantages of both without the disadvantages: You can camp at locations where it’s hard for the zombies to attack you because there’s only one or maybe two ways to get to you, yet you still have long lines of sight. So you’re pretty safe from the zombies and can still pick them off with the magnum from afar.
And that is the sole reason why we NEED maps specifically designed for Infection games.
On Asylum, at the very right of one of the bases (forgot which one), there are some rocks on the cliff that you can jump to, right over the ocean. The ledge on the Cage isn’t a very good spot, because you can be easily nudged off by your teammates.

yeah thats why im asking for spots, ill add to the list for anyone to know how to make gameplay a bit more interesting.lets face it: most infection games end up like this- run to human base, get killled, respawn, repeat 60 more time until some one breaks a hole in the defense and everything breaks down.
