Ok this isnt a post about “WE NEED INFECTION NOOOOW!” nah we have seen alot of those and im sure we will get it. I have an idea that people could maybe discuss. What if they are holding it back because they are working on some functions for customs and the infection mode specifically? Remember when we had the character model that had the infected look like the flood? What if its something like that? or the delay is happening because there are alot of details they are trying to sort out to make customs even better? I mean we just got forge that has ALOT of detail. What if the next update to follow forge i a custom game update? Giving us more options.
Here is one last question. In custom games, what features would you like to see? Not really talking about stuff we have had before like infinite ammo and stuff. Yes we kinda need it but thats not new. What new features could be added? Discuss and enjoy. and try to keep it to minimal salt.
I am not sure if this is an option for forge already but we should be able to make a specific vehicle unusable. I normally have to put kill boundaries around vehicles if I don’t want players to get in and I think it would just be a cool feature for vehicles that I just want as decoration on a map.
It does make sense that they are currently working on infection along with a number of other different features simply due to overwhelming demand of everything, and I can’t wait if and when it comes out, but I would like to see a custom game option for turning off team colors in team games.
Seeing how most of us just want the options back we had in H3, which include choosing the weapon, color and camo for the infected, I don’t see it needing to take that long. If it’s about an option for the H4 skin, that can’t possibly take a longer time, even if they need to redo all animations. Spartan Charge wouldn’t give that much trouble either because it already is in the game, meaning they could simply stick to the regular Spartan skin without any problem.
Also, in my opinion the H4 skin shouldn’t make a return. That’s a flood skin, which would make sense if there was any flood in the new trilogy. But because there isn’t, it simply makes no sense. Ever since H4, any multiplayer game is supposed to be a simple simulation aboard the Infinity anyway (lore wise).
I would think it takes this long because as usual is nowadays, the game was shipped before it was finished. Thus no Forge, no full games and no full maps. It most likely means that they’ll have a better Infection as well, probably more like H3. Because if it would be like the H4 counterpart, they’d be finished a lot sooner with it. So I am having high hopes for it, which only grows if it takes longer. Which I know is very unrealistic.
As for what I’d like to see…
Infinite nades. I really liked that function back in H3.
The option have certain objects phase through other objects, maybe through script. ie a ball which rolls through a wall, while you cannot go through the wall. Would be fun for obstacle courses.
To have objects be affected by the grav lifts again, mainly because it’s useful.
I wouldn’t mind having an option to move certain objects. ie a rotating floor or blocks which move down a certain path.

I just hope the content they give us is high quality. Whatever there is really isn’t the biggest of issues because you’ll please some people and piss off others, but it has to be good. Like they’ve done with Forge.

Well, you clearly don’t like discussion and don’t want this game to see much needed improvement. I usually just see people defending 343i for removing infection and other game types but you, you’re just asking the mods to stop further discussion.

No. I like useful discussion. And I’m not asking mods to stop further discussion. I’m asking them to lock the endless Infection threads and direct Infection discussion to single thread. Seeing so many of the same posts gets redundant.

its not made just for HEY LETS GET THIS, but mainly about what features could we have or animations we could have that we dont know about, or may want.
For Custom games I would like a Random Weapons Loadout, or team changing in the middle of a match. That way I could play Ro Sham Bo with my friends. Oh, good times.
