I remember the days when it was TOUGH to stay alive through the infected onslaught. Now… It’s easy. VERY easy. And it shouldn’t be. Infected should be faster. More powerful. takes a quarter of an assault rifle clip to take out an infected. That is just ridiculous. FIX IT!!!
This is Waypoint, so responses you can usually expect are:
A) It was like this before.
or
B) git gud or git rekt
Just wanted to let you know.
Yeah, I notice it! lol
Yeah it gets pretty annoying when someone can camp at the end of a hall (riptide) with a saw and just mow everyone down for the whole round
Infection is no longer throw yourself at the survivors and hope you get lucky, you have to sneak up on them more often than not. You actually have to think, instead of running in, swords flailing.
Quick question; have survivors or zombies won more often for you?
I don’t blame the damage output of humans, more so the fact I can think of 2 spots between all the maps which are too easily held. Generally, zombies win nearly all the time. This means the balance is tilted in the zombie’s favour. Besides, ammo is sharply limited for survivors - it doesn’t take many bullets to kill, but you won’t be getting dozens of kills with your small starting allotment. Humans all start to drop like flies in the last minute, and things really start to go the zombies’ way. It’s fun, intense, and fair. Infected are far from underpowered.

I havn’t even played this mode yet, but I completely agree with the above statement!!!
Maybe you should try outplaying them.
For example: Playing sneakily, using the thruster and attempting to disorient them, try hovering above their head with stabilizer, using Smart Scope with the sword… (last one is key to doing well in tandem with sneaking around)
I’ve been able to do fairly well as a zombie with this playstyle, especially if it’s in tight corners where it’s fairly easy for the Spartan to lose sight of me. Though, they are underpowered when it comes to trying to fend off precision weapons, but it’s not like that’s a new thing.
Also, the zombies win much more than the humans do, so it’s not really that bad.
The infected seem fine to me. On most of the available maps you can hide in the scenery and get the drop on the survivors. Also, as a survivor you run out of ammo pretty quickly when you’re being rushed by infected unless you’re the last man standing.
I think out of the 20 something games I’ve played thus far, the survivors won once. It’s incredibly challenging to survive as that last man standing, as it should be! I said it in the Iteration thread and I will say it again: this game mode is fan-tas-tic. The way the infected just flood the 3-2 survivors or that last unlucky soul at the end of each game is just so intense to see. Like -Yoinking!- killer whales homing in on a doomed poor seal. Love it and I hope it stays in the playlist section for a long time to come!
I really wish Halo Waypoint not only limited the amount of post you could do a day, but the amount of complaining in a year as well. ‘Sorry, it appears you have reached your 5 annual pointless negative threads this year, you are free to whine again about the slightest of things that are not optimal to your preferences next season’.
Would make this place great actually.
There is only 1 map where you can camp and survive…the nuclear implant. I hope 343 do some changes to that.
The infected needs a heat shot protection like maybe they can take 1 or 2 shots to the head and then they can die by head shots
well I got a Lord of the Flies medal today so its defiantly possible to do well as a zombie.

get good? The thing im complaining about is the fact that im winning matches easily because the game mode is too easy. So your response doesn’t change anything

well the ammo of the power weapons is very limited, so this doesn’t work. In my opinion infected are not underpowered. They just need to act clever and in groups. And just camping as an survivor is ridiculous anyway. In my matches the infected won most of the rounds, they don’t seem underpowered, you should just don’t run at survivors too early.

god no, it’s perfect like it is.

It can take 5 of the infected just to take down 1 spartan. That’s broken. Has nothing to do with “actually having to think”
Sometimes players can just tuck themselves away in a corner behind boxes and kill you as you try to enter the only passage way into the room. No amount of “thinking” is gonna get you past that. In fact, the only way to get through is to go “running in with swords flailing” and get lucky. Sorry, but your argument has holes in it and works against you

In the past games, the infected used to be fast and able to jump really high. That was a key feature and whole point of the mode in the first place. Now it just feels like Spartans vs Spartans… except one side has swords

you’re probably one of the annoying campers that doesnt die. Thats why you’re fine with it. Noob
I think the Black Friday map makes it very very hard for the Infected, other maps seem fine to me.
