Infected/Flood Prometheans In Halo 5

Where a flood popcorn attaches to a Promethean and infects it

Uhhh…

  1. The popcorn forms are called Infection forms
  2. Flood only infects biological beings. The last time I checked, Prometheans were digital creatures. All biological means is converted into digital information when you become a Promethean so they’re all-synthetic beings. So they can’t be infected.
  3. I don’t like Prometheans, personally. I felt they were bland. 343 said that they would interact with each other during combat but they always did the same thing: Swarm. Swarm swarm swarm, continually attacking the player in the same fashion, that’s it.

Now, if the Prometheans could fight Flood in front of your eyes, that would be cool. And if Prometheans also didn’t side with the covenant and attacked the Covenant too, that would be even cooler.

Flood can kill Prometheans and Prometheans can kill flood… BUT Flood cannot infect or convert Prometheans to the flood. Prometheans are made of hardlight. nothing with flesh and life. But the flood CAN infect forerunners

The Prometheans were designed so that they wouldn’t be infected. They are mechanical. They can’t be infected.

The only thing that would affect them in a sense that they’re taken over is the Logic Plague. But its possible the Promethean AI is so simple, or that their organic hosts, make the Logic Plague ineffectice.

your point is a good one but your forgeting what a flood stalker is.

im tring to say that the flood could infect the promethean with the logic plage that infected medicate bias and then rap its self around the promethian. this would give it a base and becuase the promethean is infected with the logic plauge it is under the controll of a the flood any way

oh and p.s. if an AI reaches meta stable it could be classed as a human being, i know this is of topic but so so.

  1. Pure Flood biomass. Your point?

  2. I don’t think Knights are “smart” enough to be affected by logic plague. That would defeat the whole purpose of a Knight.

  3. Since when?

Probably mad troll but:

Let me ask you a rhetorical question:

Can a car get -Yoink!-?

Promethean Knights are incapable of infection or corruption. Remember that when Knights die, they purge their data? No data, nothing to infect. We never saw Sentinels fall prey to the Logic Plague and I see no reason for the Prometheans to fall to it.

I’m pretty sure the logic plague only applies to advanced/smart AIs. But due to the use of the Composer, Knights would indeed be considered Smart AIs. However, from what we’ve seen in the campaign and Spartan Ops, Knights seem to store their “brain” in a remote location, and the data stored there is referenced in the creation of a new Knight. The result is an army limited only by the amount that can be active at one time, as well as resistance to the Logic Plague due to the Knights containing only an imprint of the full AI.
