Infected Are Underpowered?

I feel as though the infected are not strong enough. They are not faster then the humans (no sprint), their sword will usually fall short of the shotgun, the time is not there to make a slow approach, and they die incredibly easy. Now, on certain maps, this does not matter. Usually on maps with no cover or nice corners the flood are pretty successful. Though, on the maps I tend to enjoy, where a group of lads gather up in some sort of passage way and hold up, the fun is usually missing.

As a human, I want to be scared of the infected. I want to know that I most likely will have a great deal of difficulty surviving, so its more of an accomplishment when I do it. This isn’t really much of the case. From my own experience, the humans have won more then they have lost, its usually too difficult for the alpha infected to get off its feet, especially in three minutes.

I think a buff needs to come to the infected. Something such as…
A. Sprint/Speed Boost
B. Longer Round Length (4 to 5 minutes?)

Or… Perhaps weaken the humans…
C. No Sprint

I think the spawns should also be slightly adjusted, couple of maps have the humans spawn right near the best camping spot, if, say, the infected initially spawned there it would make the survivors think more, they would have to consider the cost of taking and holding that area from the infected that could be waiting for them.

I think people are forgetting how this game type works. One) One zombie isn’t meant to stand a chance against a team of survivors, you have to come TOGETHER!!!
2) You can’t just throw bodies at people and expect to win. You gotta outsmart them.

All too often I see people just going on by themself trying to kill survivors. Try waiting till you amass a group of zombies and then go in for the kill if there’s only one entrance or try flanking them while their back is turned to you. And you won’t win every time. Zombies aren’t meant to win 100% of the time.

No, just No. Infection is perfect as is. Plus infection is just a fun mess around mode

I played a few. Kinda boring on the one map. Where you all just gather up on the bridge… 4 rounds of that…
But yeah I think infected need a little buff. More base speed.

Yeah.A survivor can just stay in a corner and shotgun everything that moves. It’s not that hard

I think 343 made the infected “weak” to promote more teamwork. The infected in reach were pretty good and most people who were infected probably just lone wolfed it until they got a huge group.

I think the only promblem the zombies have are the spawns, so much predictible and easy to spawn kill with a magnum\DMR

Yeah I agree with this big time.

People need to learn how to be good zombies. Walking blindly at 5 Spartans every time your spawn from the same direction makes for an easy kill. Get creative, attack at the same time, use that zoomed in sword lunge, thrust in different directions and go for a crazy kill. Honestly, the zombies shouldn’t lose that often. The only map I think is unfair is Black Friday, but it really shouldn’t be. Just a lack of creativity from the infected. Being the zombie and ruining everyone’s day who is camping in the corner is the most fun you can have!

If they took away sprint from the Spartans, I would be on board for that. But it is not necessary.

P.S. Remember when everyone was pissed that the Spartans didn’t get pistols? haha. How awful would that have been?

Perhaps have 3 alphas

The alpha zombies need the gravity hammer (H3 reach remember) and turn off the effect. Invis is usesless with it.

I’m not a fan of all the power weapons. Get last spartan standing and you get infinite ammo. Nothing like infinite rocket and saw ammo…

Completely agree with all of this. And I’m having nightmares about Spartans spawning with pistols for the next few nights, I must’ve missed that outcry at the time. shudders at the thought

Totally agree with this guy 100%.

Actually theyre just perfect. The slight camo gives them enough to do work if the player is smart enough.

Ok, I agree and disagree. Infection is a mode that should scare you, I agree about that. And I do think that some things could change to make the mode absolutely perfect. BUT, taking spring away from the Spartans is not the way to do it. Think about anytime you’ve used sprint. For me it’s just to get to your camping location and then you’re done with sprint. So, I’d say giving the Infected sprint would be better. Also, from what I’ve seen, 3 minutes is the perfect round length. Other than that, again, I’d say the mode is perfect. To be fair, I am a lousy Infection player, but these are the things that I see that could be changed.

I’ll tell you what I’d like to see (and I actually already have in another post of mine) and that’s the armor/effect that the Infected have made available to players in other playlists. I dig it! I think it looks pretty wicked.

I think they need a little bit more speed. Outside of that it is supposed to be difficult to survive and kill.

This game really wasn’t very fun to begin with tbh.

Is it just me but werent the zombies ALWAYS meant to get wrecked 1v1
