Hi. I purchased this game on 11/27/14 directly from the microsoft store website as the free game i got to choose when buying an xbox one console with kinect. Unfortunately, I did not open or play my console until 12/26/14 (decided to wrap the console and game for christmas gift for the family). Now, it appears I am not eligible for the resolution (not that i even think it is a resolution). I chatted with Microsoft, who blamed 343 and said to come here:

So I am making this post so that a 343 admin will contact me to make this right. I got a console myself and convinced 3 friends to buy xbox one’s and Halo: MCC (one of which sold his ps4 to do so) so that we would play online together. That computes to be ($350+$60)*4 = $1,640 spent to Microsoft and 343 so that we could play something that isn’t working. Atrocious.
Please contact me so that we can figure out some sort of resolve for this ridiculousness.
