Individual Weapon Damage Modifiers

I think we can all agree that this should be a custom game option.

Agreed

I guess…

I can definitely see how it would be helpful for tweaking settings for MLG and the like, but it would throw any measure of consistency out the window. If it isn’t absolutely necessary, I would rather not have it.

What a horrible idea. No one would ever know how effective a weapon is in a custom game since each could be edited.

No.

lol what. Since when is having more custom options a bad thing? And why would not knowing the settings in a custom game right away matter? It’s a custom game.

Your first question doesn’t need an answer. It’s self-explanatory.

Your second question: It matters a lot. Consistency would be gone; each custom game would be different which would horrible. Inconsistency would cause players to develop bad habits with certain weapons. Hell, I feel like I’d never know how good a weapon is by default anymore. “Should I use the DMR or BR? Hm. Last game the BR was a 4 shot kill, but in this it seems like it MIGHT be 5 shot. -Yoink- this -Yoink-, I wanna know what my weapons do.”

LOL. Might as well completely scrap every single custom game option then. That way the game will be consistent all the time.

You’re logic is severely flawed here. The whole point of custom games is to modify the game settings to ones that you find to be unique and enjoyable. Custom games =/= matchmaking. I have genuinely never heard of anyone being against more options. This is really funny.

Your*

Anyway, I’m ALL for more custom game options, but not ones that completely redefine each weapon and its place in the sandbox. I’ve never entered a custom game where the game was so radically different that I just couldn’t adapt properly.

With individual weapon damage modifiers, each custom game could be SO drastically different that it just doesn’t work.

Each custom game is already dramatically different. With your logic you might as well throughout damage modifiers, can’t be inconsistent. But TBH it’s needed for an MLG playlist. A five-shot BR? MLG is gonna have to change that. On a side note it would also be fun for custom gametypes.

Sure why not

Yes and No. I want this but only available to 343 in the way that bloom in Reach is tweakable but only to 343. This way they can easily balance out weapons without the need of an update

Tweaking each individual weapon is a bit much. I’d rather just separate it between weapon, grenade, melee, and vehicle. This way the sandboxes remain balanced, but just more or less powerful overall.
