Have you guys seen the new Halo toy figures of spartans with multi coloured armour? I saw them in a HiddenXperia video and he brought up a cool point which is it’d be cool if you could colour each individual armour piece separately. So instead of just having primary/secondary type system for your whole set, apply that to each piece. For example the one toy had a red helmet, right shoulder, and forearm, with the rest of it black. Another had blue arms and legs with the torso and helmet red.
I wouldn’t mind a customization options like that, would be very different from what I was use to over the years. But all I really want for our customizations is to have full black undersuits like they promised back in Halo 5 (but didn’t follow through with). They said they’re doing it in Halo Infinite so I hope this time they followed through.

They said H5 would have black undersuits? I didn’t know that. Black definitely looks better in my opinion, would be cool to be able to customize that too honestly
This is something i recommended in a previous post, glad to see 343i may already have plans to add this feature in Halo Infinite.
I think some players will use absolutely atrocious armor color combinations, but i like the idea that there are so many possibilities that popular players could be recognized by their armor, and in team-based multiplayer it probably won’t matter much.
I hope there are even primary/secondary color options for each piece, especially if there are decals (also hopefully unique to each piece).
I also hope that, if other races are playable, they get the same level of customization. We didn’t see mixed paint on the elite or brute toys.

It’d make for some really over-complicated customization, but who knows, a rainbow spartan would be quite interesting
The only doubt I have is about team coloring. If every piece can be designed like you want (yes, please), than what is going to be the piece to become red or blue in team slayer? Or is it more like every piece is getting a primary and secondary color setting? That would limit us again, but it’s still miles ahead compared to the past and more functional as well. I guess that’s the answer and even if not, getting more control would be amazing in any case.
So yeah, I’m curious about the implementation, but I certainly love the idea already!

Maybe team colouring could even be its own thing. You could choose between different shades of red or blue for the primary colours and then choose whatever you’d like for secondary. Could also apply the individual piece system to that as well.

I like how you think, I really do! Color shading on top of individual coloration of every armour element? Color me intrigued, pun intended!

There’s a mod team working on a heavy update to that game on PC.

Team colors have never been a problem in any of the Halo games. Even the ones with more control over colors. The game will just force you in a single color that has been predetermined. Simple as that. So I don’t see the problem there.
The idea of customizable colors for every armor piece is good though. Would like to see that in Infinite. With an extra option for patterns that can match whatever armor you’re using. And black undersuits, of course.

Bro that’s a silly question. I would love to see this level of customisation! I hope they go beyond reach level customisation!
New individual and various color/texture/condition options…with Reach’s customization template…& with a combination of Halo 3 and Reach’s art style = THE PERFECT HALO.
I loved the direction Reach took Halo’s art style in general, but was just a tad bit clunky. I think a good middle ground between H3’s sleekness and Reach’s bulkiness would be a match made in Valhalla!!
To me, the armor (mainly helmets) in halo 4 and ESPECIALLY halo 5, does not even look like halo in the slightest bit. It looks like some generic futuristic space suit/power ranger designs…needs a total revamp. You know what they say…(H3 & Reach) if it ain’t broke…DON’T FIX IT!
