The motion sensor is literally useless. I have found myself killed from behind over 20 times because I expect my motion sensor to pick up the movement, and it doesn’t. What is the range like two feet? It doesn’t make sense.
There’s one more option.

If they aren’t firing, you can’t see them on the map. The movement range is significantly smaller than I remember too though.
Haven’t had a problem detecting movement on mine. Crouch walking can’t be detected either so maybe that’s what they’re doing to you.

Only show up if you Shoot, Sprint or Thrust.
Only shows the general location no longer tells you if above, below or on the same level.
So pay close attention to your surrounding and listen, stop relying on your radar.
You could always buy a good headset also then you can hear people footsteps :).
Another way for many people to resolve this issue is just put a normal headset in and talk to your teammates call people out stop being a mute.

I actually don’t think this is true, though. If I recall correctly, you show up on the radar when you move, like the previous games. Correct me if I’m wrong.

The motion tracker had too much range in Halo 4, up to 40 meters. It made getting assassinations too difficult.

It should also work in range of the detector for movement, but its a lot less noticeable because of the big maps
