Increase Halo 4 Look senSitivity Please..

When I first started playing Halo 10 years ago I wasn’t very good at acquiring targets at different points on the screen. Over the years I’ve increased my accuracy through increasing my look sensitivity slowly so my progression was smooth, natural, and not forced. Now, I’m playing at a “10” on the look sensitivity and I feel like I’m stuck in the mud. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, let’s make some noise and see about getting 343’s attention in hopes of getting our voices heard.

I just starting using a 10 sensitivity, I used 6 before, I think it could be raised for sure. If I can go from a 6 to a 10 sensitivity, then they can raise it.

I guess 0.4 (guesstimate) seconds is a long while for a 360 spin. I’m sure you lose a lot of 1v1 battles because you can’t turn around fast enough.

I have mine on 5. 4 is too slow, and 6 is too fast for me.

What kind of player would I be if I didn’t have a good idea about where the only other person on the map was? Lol it happens, but I’ve killed many players who thought they got the drop on me. That’s my favorite type of kill, I’ve been on the other end of it too.

I played at 5 for a couple of years. I have a friend who would always beat me and other than his superior skill level, he played at a 10. After playing with him I started to find easy ways to use small movement and staying off the edges of the thumb sticks. You guys should try that, small adjustments and only use big looping movements when turning 90-180 degrees. It could be common knowledge and something everyone does, but I didn’t and it made me a lot more accurate. I hope it helps.

Which one is the default setting? I normally just use the default controller settings for every game I play, but I think I changed the sensitivity in Reach once.

I usually go for 4, or 8 for something with hammers.

95% of good players use sensitives of 5 and lower so no, there’s no point. I don’t think there’s a single pro who plays above 5 and even those are rare.

People playing on sensitives that high are literally doing it wrong.

I’m pretty good and I play on 10^. Interested in a friendly 1v1?

I roll with like a 2. And thats because I like to snipe a lot (Its in my top 3 kills with) and my DMR is more precise with it lower too. But hey that could be just me

It’s not the sensitivity that’s the issue. The problem lies with Halo 3, where Bungie added Aim Acceleration to the looking mechanics. This requires your aim to “speed up” while looking around, while in Halo CE and 2, your aim would immediately be at the speed of your sensitivity. There shouldn’t be an increase in the sensitivity, but rather a decrease in the aim acceleration, allowing for quicker and more responsive aiming.

I have no problem with this.As long as you’r just talking about incresing the option to 1 to 50.not just make it to where everyones gotta play on 50

Aim acceleration needs to be fixed or scaled down with sensitivity. I would like to use 10 as with Halo 2 but Reach is so unresponsive and laggy – although not as bad as the unplayable atrocity that was Halo 3, so I use 6, which is too slow.

I use 3 while several of my friends might use 5 or 6, I also hear a common complaint of “How did you not die?”, after they died and I ended up either wounded or with just a bit of shields left, when going face to face with shotguns, melee, or hammers.

Many times I see their shot hit the wall beside me, and given their complaint, I think that their higher sensitivity is causing them to move past the best aiming spot, so I only catch a portion of the hit, rather than the full effect.

I have never noticed that a sensitivity of 3, has caused a problem when shooting, even when sniping at the highest magnification - in fact I think that the lower sensitivity even helps in that regard.

between 3 and 4

4 is just perfect.

Seriously faster than 10? If you touch the thumb-stick to the plastic part of the controller, you do a 360 or more. How on earth is this too slow?

I feel that default gives me the best ability to be precise on my shots while also being able to respond quickly enough to threats.

Most people in the competitive community play between 3-5. There are a few that will go as low as 2.

That’s cool, all those players will be happy to know that Halo 4 is going to have 1-10. However, because I’ve practiced at a 10 for about 2 years I would like to have the ability to have my look sensitivity faster.
