Hello, I’ve never posted on here before (I actually made an account just to see if I could get an answer) so if this isn’t where I’m supposed to ask this, please let me know!
So I recently got Halo: Reach and decided to make my own profile as I wanted to play with my fiance and go up in ranks as I didn’t like using a guest account and not knowing how well I’m doing in games. Everything was going great until about 2 days ago. My fiance and I were on Xbox Live and for some reason, it now looks like my account is the same as his (rank and all) but with my name slapped on it. I’ve tried signing out of his profile before starting up the game, restarting the console, and nothing. Its great because it now says I’m a warrant officer grade 1 but I’m NOWHERE near that and I just want to get there on my own. Anyone know how to fix this?

After doing a quick search of this in support forums it appears that this is an issue with Halo Reach as of lately. Back in May 343 did some emergency patching, but it doesn’t look like they resolved all the issues quite yet.

For now I am afraid so. There is a chance that it might randomly go back to the correct rank, but if not it will probably take some work on 343i’s end to resolve the issue.

Halo Reach isn’t the only game to have issues. The Xbox 360 servers have been issues for over a year now. Nearly all Xbox 360 games are having issues and glitches because of this. From ranks not populating to armor/achievements not unlocking to multiplayer data not being recorded. It’s not a crippling issue because all the games are still playable. This is something that Microsoft has to handle and given that the Xbox 360 is approaching its 14th birthday, its not exactly a big priority for anyone right now. All we can do is hope that it’ll be addressed at some point in time.
