Incorporating forum use in Halo 4

So with this new E3 medal, it’s got me thinking of how 343i could incorporate in game medals next to your gamertag in Halo 4.

For us who have E3 next to our name we could get that as a medal next to our name in matchmaking.

For the ones that have a star next to their name, they could have a star in a flaming circle next to their name in matchmaking.

If they went further to have a few more things like weapon skins according to how much you post in the forums that would be cool, like

343 posts=Halo emblem on all default guns
500=dark blue Halo nameplate
1000=blue 343i skin
3430= black 343i skin
5000=shiny Halo nameplate

Maybe your amount of times thanked should count too

343 thanks (people thanking you)=smiley visor
500 thanks (people thanking you)=Emile visor

343 times you thank people= 343 visor (343 is across your visor)
1,000 times you thank people= fog visor (visor is filled up with fog)

And all these skins can have the option to turn on/off so you aren’t stuck with a skin that you don’t like. And each post has to have at least 10 words in it, to stop forum spamming.

I like it. No medal for me :(. But those who are particularly active should be shown some recognition in Halo 4.

Forum medals correlating with Halo 4. It would be interesting, but I wouldn’t take it too far. I’ll say that more people would probably come to the forums just for that reason…

absolutely!,those who help shape the game should be given recognition for their opinions,if this is really a community built game then the community should most definately be rewarded for their efforts.

Yes, and what’s even better is each one of your post had to be at least 10 words so you can’t just come on the forum and post small things.

A nameplate? Umm, I think they should just stick to ones designed by the team. It’s a good idea and all but the ones designed specifically for the function of a nameplate look more polished and fit in more appropriately.

This.

They’d come just for the bait of having a medal. That’s not much to brag about, considering how few currently have them.

Agreed, I like the idea of active forum members getting noticed in Halo 4 but then I don’t because of the reason you put.

I like the idea of incorporating as many things as possible into halo 4 as in exclusive unlocks like being a level 75 here on waypoint.
