Inconsistent splatter physics

Sometimes you ran someone head head at full speak only to watch them fly back with their shields knocked out.

Sonetimes you barely get tapped by a slow moving/turning vehicle and you die (a slow ghost strafe).

Sometimes you jump completely over an enemy and still get splattered.

Sometimes you ram someone with the ghost at full speed without slowing down and they somehow hijack you.

There are a lot of inconsistencies with vehicle mechanics. Were they designed to be random this way or are they flaws with the physics engine combined with lag?

Sometimes you go to board wraiths and tanks while they are barely moving and you just fall over and die.

Sometimes you jump on top of non moving tanks to board them and you also die.

I did some experiments and the physics are wonky as hell across the board, it’s not just about splatters.

Welcome to Halo 5 physics

The wraith is the only vehicle with consistent splatter physics

I get all of this as well… the last one is the most annoying and the one that needs fixing the fastest… but yeah, all of these seem to happen very often.

Indeed.

The physics are terrible in h5.

Or how about when you get hijacked by the guy you rammed at full speed who somehow just got dragged along?

I hit a guy in warthog the other day and he Spartan charged me head on and the vehicle did a front flip like the truck in the dark knight. Then I was in a ghost and had the thrusters on going full speed and instead of killing him it just broke his shields and kept pushing him with me and he hijacked me

some of my favs:
invisible speed bump
human speed bump

this one i have bolded, is actually a tactic most players prob use. i know i use it my self. if you time a jump properly it gives the the option to clamber to the front of the vehicle in which you can then proceed to high jack it. ill attach a first person view of it
legit tactic used

This was WONDERFUL. I’m not amused 343!

it didnt make you laugh a little looking back on it?
im sure during game you stared at the screeen like wtf just happened

We need to make a vine of this with the song This is Gospel playing in the background
“If you love me let me goooooooo!”

Semi-related: Can we talk about how a perfectly planted frag grenade that is under a Warthog moving full speed doesn’t alter it’s path at all? Literally the Warthog can just keep moving at the same pace, same direction, and with the same amount of shields.

But if I’m driving, I hit a slight bump in a Forged terrain and I do a 180 and exit the flipped vehicle and inevitably get shot to death.

Nvm

but really as far as getting hijacked from the front by a guy you hit full speed go into custoim games and practice the same move, it works on all ground vehicles, and idk about flying ones though. that way you can confuse the other team as well
