Inconsistency with the Shotgun - Infection

Ok, so I’ve been playing a lot of Infection lately because, honestly, it’s the most fun game mode in Halo 5 as of yet. But I’ve noticed something rather frustrating. I shoot the Zombie, I get the damage tick marks, he dies, but then I die from the same zombie for no reason. Why? Do I chock it up to lag or is this some bigger issue? (also sidenote, a Sniper Rifle is ridiculously overpowered for Infection, why put it in the maps!?)

this has always been apart of halo, just like BF4 at launch halo also has a very slow tickrate or “net code”.

Im assuming having higher tickrate servers requires more powerful servers than the potatoes microsoft calls halo 5 servers.

this happens to everyone, there is no fix it is hard coded into the game because low tickrate servers probably cost less.
