Inconsistency simulator

Every weapon in this game just feels wildly inconsistent on damage. I like the feelings of weapons and sounds but the AR sometimes killing really fast or landing all my shots and the guy I’m shooting takes down my shields first should not happen with the same gun.
The Pulse Rifle literally has worse tracking when non ADS but why? what’s the point of no ads with the thing if the tracking get 100 times better with it. I wouldn’t mind using ads if the ads had its own FOV but every time I aim in it feels like I am back to 80 FOV I actually find it useless and annoying to do but apparently it makes every weapon better.

Seemed like this would be cool at first till the game became assault rifle side kick simulator. having the commando and BR almost feels useless at times because some guy across the map is gunning my shields with an AR and well I would just take cover but this game has the worst lag compensation I have ever seen. ill be behind a wall for like 4 seconds and still take shield damage.
Finally I like to consider myself a good halo player but these matches on the 2nd day feel exhausting like everyone is some cringe 12 year old trying to start a twitch channel. I want a casual experience in my social playlists at launch without having to play with players at my level all the time. i swear this better not be strong SBMM in this beta cause if that crap continues in the release I don’t even know if I wanna play the game because people should use social playlists for fun and as a learning tool. if I wanna be the best player in social playlists let me be the best player in social playlists for the night without forcing me to play against people who do Adderall all day. who cares if a few people cry because they cant handle being bad at a video game because matching against a better player is how you get better 343.
This inconsistency is inexcusable rn and sadly most of its not even your connection which you really need to get down fast cause that teleporting is annoying but I can let it go its a bigger flight then the last.
all and all I like the game but SBMM and headshot damage on all guns makes guns like the heatwave and even the bulldog feel useless in some situations.

AR has no business being this good. Honestly am bored after just under 2 hours as it takes no skill to shoot and pointless picking anything else up.

I enjoy the AR being a good weapon for once. People seem to have forgotten the BR, DMR, or pistol metas from previous games. It’s ok to get a little variety. Also, someone great with landing headshots with the pistol or commando or BR will still destroy an AR user.

I’ve been mapping people with the AR, the damage falloff seems very low. Feels like it needs to be fixed, it’s a little too versatile right now.

Gotta disagree on the sounds, really don’t think they’re very good. Or at least not very distinctive. In past Halos I could pick out the sound of individual gunfights and know basically exactly what was being used. Audio was a huge part of play. Maybe I’m just not used to it, but a friend and I both commented that the guns all sounded like muffled thuds. The ability to know where a gunfight was happening and what weapons were being used feels like it’s basically gone.

Not true the AR is too overpowered in its current for…. tone it down and your comment would be true… but also the aiming curve is off as well so there’s that

I am not convinced by this. The inconsistency and lack of AA makes the BR lose to an easy aiming AR that is this strong.

I won’t argue at all that the lack of aim assist is killing precision weapons. I guess I am more hoping that when aim assist is fixed, the precision weapons will then feel fine and be in a good place.
