Incoming Voice Chat does not work!

PC player here.

I must be the only one having this problem but it is SUPER frustrating technical issue.

I have all the sound settings set to my headset. I also have the Windows settings set to my headset. I even have set the default device to my headset to be app specific (Halo Infinite) through the sound settings on windows.

I STILL ONLY HEAR MY TEAMMATES THROUGH MY SPEAKERS!

All other sounds play through my headset. My voice goes through my headset. Everyone can hear me.

There NEEDS to be a setting for INCOMING VOICE.

Also should be noted, I play Infinite on my steamdeck as well. Where i can speak through its built in microphone and hear people through its built in speakers. Because im using the same account on both platforms I feel there is an issue when i jump back and forth between them

Have you tried disabling your speakers entirely? My wife had a sorta similar issue with Skyrim not playing though her headset despite all the setting we played with to fix it. Disabling the speakers (making the headset the ONLY audio option) was the only fix we could find. She plays it through Steam as well so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Yeah, unfortunately, that does not work either.

i have removed my speakers and removed my streaming audio/ webcams too.

I used to have the incoming voice chat before. Once i started playing on my steamdeck is when the issue started to happen.
