Include matching armor with the 2017 helmets!

As much as I love the new helmets, they’re not gonna be as good without a set of matching armor for at least some of them. It would be really cool if we could get the matching GEN1 armor for each helmet, especially Mark V Delta; as it appears to be based on the Mark V armor from Halo: CE Anniversary, that thing has to come with the matching body.

For the rest of the armor, I’m thinking the Mark V/b armor base from Halo: Reach with the appropriate matching armor pieces for each helmet would do. Recon, Security, CQB, EVA, and Military Police all had matching shoulder pieces in Reach.

Yes please.

Noble could substitute, but I thought they just weren’t showing the armor. Perhaps tomorrow’s preview will show the matching armor pieces.

Seconded. This would a great opportunity for more bulky armor (codpieces please!) I’d like another chest with a knife on it (CQB) or a more accurate classic Mark V from CE.

They wouldn’t be crazy enough to leave out the matching sets. And based on their appearance, they’ll probably be based on their appearances from Reach.

i wanna bet they’ll show those when the second part of the update is announced

That Mark V Delta is definitely based off of the Halo 3 Mark V, if anything…I hope this means the return of the default Halo 3 Mark VI body armor. But I may be wrong, it could have the CE body with it instead.

YES the helmets are fantastic but i need the armor tooooooo! also if we could get a haunted variant on the pilot helmet that’d be dope:)

Looking closer at the REQ cards, it appears they do at least have a new body armor, as I don’t recognize the model on there. The greyed out armor portions don’t seem to match any other armor sets either.

The greyed out armor is Warrior armor. It’s not new, unfortunately.

EDIT: My mistake, it does indeed look like a new armor set. Kind of looks like Mark V/b armor, as a matter of fact, though the shoulders do look like Warrior…

I actually think the armor is a variant of the Aviator body set.

Are you sure? Because I’m comparing it to Warrior, and I’m not seeing any similarities between it and the grey components on the helmet cards.

I think you’re right. Looking at the two, the pieces look the same.

This.

The fact that we are even debating this is sorta baffling. There has never been a time when a helmet has been released to H:5 without a matching armor or vice versa. They just didn’t show off the whole set because the armors are implied and the helmets are, in most cases, more recognizable than the rest of the body.

I do believe we’ll be seeing the armors counterparts being listed in the second news update about the Monitor’s Bounty for the ‘coming in 2017’ list.

Here’s hoping!

If they don’t come with a body…
You know what waypoint will sound like?

I don’t see why not, since that would pad the REQ pool with even more stuff.

Could you imagine the horrors of wearing the Mark V Delta with the Mark V Alpha? I couldn’t imagine a worse life. And I once spent a year homeless. lol.

In reach cqb, eod, military police, mark V, Eva, operator, pilot, and recon did not have full sets of armor. Plus grim did confirm on Twitter it is only helmets. So personally I feel that this is the right move because to keep it gen 1, you can’t just pull random armor out of your -Yoink- for a full set. And these are reach variants NOT halo 3, so don’t say for eod, cqb, and recon they can just use the halo 3 variants. They are the reach variants that did not have full sets to begin with.
