This weeks bulletin hinted at unfound Easter Eggs on Requiem, Forerunner and Midnight. So far, the Requiem one has been known for a while but it’s also glitched, the Forerunner one was discovered fairly quickly, while the Midnight one is still proving illusive.
Credit goes to community member TRIHARD9 and his friends for first bringing the Forerunner egg to our attention in the bulletin thread, but I went ahead and made a video guide for it to help out anyone else interested:
Pretty sure it has to be. The Requiem snipers only appear on Legendary too so I’d assume it’s the case all around. You’re welcome to try otherwise though. If it’s any difficulty I’ll add a note in the vid.

Thanks, Legendary not hard for I just did not want to go on a lower setting and it not work.
> What map was it with all the beam rifle Elites, but no one ever found what dropped?
Requiem. Killing all 8 Elites triggers a script that loads 4 UNSC ammo crates at the start of the cartographer room. The kicker is once you kill those 8 Elites and go back a load zone, it despawns those same boxes you just unlocked.

Both modders and well known campaign trickers/glitchers alike have tried just about everything to stop the loadzone from despawning the crates once you’ve activated them.

Ahh right, thanks.
That sucks. I’d have thought they’d have tested these eggs out before putting them in…
When you kill the Elite Zealot and take his camo module, backtrack to the last open area you were in and a Phantom carrying 8 Elite Zealot Snipers will drop them off. If you manage to kill all 8, some crates with UNSC weapons are meant to spawn at the beginning of the Cartographer room. Only problem is once they’ve spawned, backtracking across the loadzone to actually get to that point despawns those same crates.

Appreciation of architecture - The area before the Cartographer & the Cartographer itself
Return to nature - The large field you enter into after coming out through the winding passage in the warthog.
Returning here is deadly - The 8 Zealot Snipers.
In short, everything already adds up too well. I know people have gone even further back than the field, right to the beginning even, and they never found the crates. This is going back at least 2 or so months when the 8 Zealot Snipers were first discovered. Glitched egg is glitched is pretty much the most clear-cut solution right now. Unless BS Angel sees fit to tell us that there’s an entirely different easter egg on Requiem that happens to fit the description so damn well. Would make a bet that might end up happening too…

You can only go back as far as the warthog jump spot, the gap is too far to jump with the weapons/ammo you have to my knowledge.

It’s possible to go all the way back to the beginning, it just requires a bit more preciseness when jumping at the gap; some parts of the broken structure are solid, some are not.
The place with sniper zealots is right. The egg can’t be a weapon though. It doesn’t fit the clue. It sounds structural or a picture of a structure thing? I searched the area for a while zooming around with sniper etc. and only found a rock that looks like a damaged warthog near where you come out of the cave. But this is just a halisination from looking at a bunch of rocks. Also cliff side might be an attempt at stone henge? I didn’t notice if those towers were there before the sequence. I might just be bad at this!
