Incineration Cannon - Splash or Direct hit?

I’ve been wondering, is the Incineration Cannon a splash damage weapon or a Direct Hit weapon?

I’m hoping its a direct hit weapon - except for things like air vehicles, which should have lock on…

Josh Holmes said it lands and transforms into smaller fireballs.

As far as lock on, I assume it wouldn’t lock on just like the fuel rod.

First it’s a direct hit, then it splashes little balls of incineration plasma in random directions, each with minor splash damage themselves.

I think its both. On one of the videos I saw last night. It looked like it had one direct hit then other “fireballs” that followed

It Is both a direct hit and splash damage weapon. All you need to know is that it’s awesome.

Its splash and direct hit just imagine the Bomb sack of Engineers in Halo 30DST.

You can definitely see the multiple minor fireballs and explosions after the main blast in one of the videos
