Incineration Cannon changes

I was watching the Halo World Championship announcement video and there was a very fast clip of the incineration cannon. I noticed that it seems to have a battery charge instead of a single shot clip like in Halo 4. I think that the charge will make it stand out a little more from the rocket launcher and fuel rod.

Thoughts?

I’ll have to see it in action more. I haven’t seen much of it at all. Link the video if you get a chance please.

Here is the link. It appears around the 0:58 mark and is only visible for a split second.

New link at starting point.

That’s crazy. It must have a cool down phase? And did that say 90%? That would mean it has 10 shots now. Can anyone say HOLY -Yoink-!
I’m a little shocked this thread hasn’t seen more traffic.

so that makes the changes balanced imo
10 shots, but you have to charge each shot now

I seem to remember reading somewhere that it also charges up to fire and the damage depends on how much you charge it before you fire, so it doesn’t mean that you get 10 shots necessarily. Don’t quote me on that though.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I get it now. That’s crazy! Wowzers. That will be a big change. So it will kind of be a mix between the Splazer and the RL… but with increasing damage with cooking. Wowzers.

The charge ability would definitely add a different skillset to it, instead of point and shoot.

thanks for clarifying that lol. now should i delete my comment? since it’s not factual at all?

That makes a ton more sense. In the video the charge went from 95% to 90%, so if it didn’t need to charge up it would have 20 shots. The charging mechanic will balance it out a lot more now.

The -Yoink- guys he told you not to quote him!

I really hope they make it work. I’m still unsure about the boltshot.

The boltshot looks bad now it doesn’t do enough damage.

Incineration Cannon looking good baby looking good.

I like the change. It definitely makes it stand out from the rocket launcher. And if what the above poster said is true, the charging ability will definitely make it a lot more interesting. I hope that’s true, as it would add a lot more variation on the usage of the weapon.

I’m fine with it being a burst-fire pistol than a mini-shotgun.

The Halo 5 IC looks like it took inspiration from CE’s FRC.

Yeah what else would you want it to do?

Here is a still of it. Sorry that it might be quality.
If anyone wants to make a proper link, that would be great and appreciated.
