I was in the middle of WZ when an I recieved an important phone call and I needed to hand the phone over to someone that was elsewhere around my house. The timeout time is absolutely ridiculous, especially when I need to do a quick thing. It took no more than a minute to two minutes. Can there be more timeout time? It’s not fair. Handing the phone over, getting the pizza from the door, etc. It’s absolutely bogus.

I know why it’s there. I want the time to be extended by like 30 seconds more. I don’t like the type you speak of, which I like the system. I just don’t like the part of the system, the time of it.
i once ran quickly to the bathroom in the middle of a wz game, im sure it took me less than a minute and as soon as i came back i got kicked out for being inactive “too long” really?
Don’t go to the bathroom or answer the phone and expect to still be in the game. If you’re away for a period of time, you’re a detriment to your team and the system will kick you and add in a replacement.
The time away is 2 minutes if i recall correctly. Alot can be done during those two minutes

No it needs to be reduced. If you go AFK for 3 minutes during a match you deserve to be kicked.
I can’t count the number of times I’ve had people start arena games and just be AFK and never play, they always get kicked at 9 mins (game is 12 mins long so the timeout is 3 mins).
Your time recollection for how long your distractions took might be off if the time before you’re booted is 3 minutes.

Just asking, there are some playlists where the boot time limit occurs at 2 minutes and others at 3 minutes?
If so, can you list the playlists that have a 2 minute and 3 minute boot limit please?

As far as I can tell it’s three minutes across the board with the possible exception of infection being a bit longer. I.E 4 minutes.
Me and my friends grouped up in a game. One of them had to use the bathroom, and he was go for 5 mins. I don’t give a crap if we lose cause he went AFC. Him getting booted for that is just stupid. Had my boss call me one day as well, gone for 5 mins, and got booted from the game. Not my fault if I get a call. You shouldn’t get kicked from a game if you need to do something. And the thing where you can join a game already in session is stupid, can’t count how many Warzone games I joined and my team is losing by a lot.

It’s 3 minutes and it should be reduced to 2 or 1.5 minutes. 3 minutes is enough time to never recover the game from an inactive teammate.
I get the reason for the timer but it’s odd that the game doesn’t even give any warning before it randomly kicks players or indication of how long the player has. I’m sure I’ve had similar situations where I was expecting delivery, was kicked because I went to answer door, was barely gone for 5-30 seconds, the funny part is I’m usually doing the best in Warzone Firefight so it’s odd to be kicked when I was putting the most effort in.
I understand both why it’s there and why it should be. The timer is 3 minutes across the board. However, under extenuating circumstances, it’s be more beneficial if it was removed from Ranked playlists entirely because alot of AFKs aren’t intentional. I know of 1 time where my rechargeable batteries died without any system warning and had to quickly scrounge up some AAs and it took 3 minutes to find them. In Ranked players also aren’t replaced or allowed to rejoin, which the latter is stupid in itself. The AFK timer should really only be used in Social and Warzone. Keep it out of ranked.
Times I have to change batteries, answer phones etc., I go somewhere I know I’ll probably die.
Respawns can take a bit of time when you are not in Arena.
You can’t even be away for ofer thirty seconds without it booting you from the game. Ridiculous.
I went outside to have a smoke after completely finishing a match. When I get back I find out I’m banned for 2 hours for being afk in a match that started while i was outside smoking. If players are that serious about everyone not being afk then there should be a manual start for each match like 2 hours is ridiculous. I wasn’t even in a match when I left the tv. First time its happened but no other game ever does that to its customers. WTF
