I noticed, during short gameplay modes, like Breakout(the one where you don’t respawn), people go idle and are allowed to remain so until the end of the entire game, after they’ve been the primary reason for your losing. They do this to collect XP and RP, while away. I also noticed people doing this for Swat and other modes and would come in at the last minute to run around and do things, in order to appear active. Too many AFK people in this game. I remember people in older Halo games doing this in modes like Griffball.
I see it in assault all the time but they are actually on but hiding not fighting

Well, there might be a second reason why some appear to hide, in assault. There’s an armory exploit, but if one person stays in the armory and just stands there, the opposing team can’t exploit the armory. I see people away in assault all the time, too, but not hiding…just standing at their default spawn zone. I’m sure are those that hide as well, though. I just haven’t noticed it, yet. It’s so irritating.

It’s way past it they aren’t defending the exploit most of the time I don’t notice they are hiding till we are on the second base and attackers do it too
I don’t find the exploit a problem the only thing that annoys me is it ruins our req level for attacking the core and I don’t mind it if defending cause it’s easier to defend the core and their reqs won’t be as good.
All they need to do is shorten the AFK kickout timer for breakout. I am sure over time this will get dialed in better and better each month.
I believe 343i said they are tuning the ban hammer to work better against idlers and such. They will get whats coming to them.

I have totally seen this also.
They’ve starting “taking action” against these players.
